We're still basking in the joy and surprise of an outpouring of support like no other we have ever experienced! We were a little overwhelmed but totally overjoyed, with every baby finding a forever home and now only the teenagers needing their turn, your support has truly made a difference! An Update on Lexi's Journey ❤️

When Lexi was rescued from the streets she, she finally found safety, warmth, and a loving home. Since then, she has not only raised her own babies but has also been a devoted foster mum to others in need.
Now, it's Lexi's turn to receive some extra care.
Unfortunately, Lexi has been unwell and requires ongoing veterinary tests and treatment to help determine the cause of her health issues. Over the past months, significant costs have already gone into her care, including veterinary consultations, diagnostic testing, specialised diets, raw food nutrition, medications, and ongoing monitoring. Her veterinary expenses are approaching $1,000 and continue to grow.
Despite everything she has given to so many kittens, Lexi has not been forgotten and will not be left behind because she is unwell. She deserves the same love, care, and second chance that she has helped provide to others.
With the end of the financial year approaching, we are reaching out for support. Any donation, no matter how small, will help cover Lexi's medical expenses and ongoing care. Donations are tax-deductible, and receipts can be provided for your records.

Our Cowboys have clearly mastered the art of being overlooked while simultaneously being the biggest lovebugs in town. Hopefully their future ranch owners see this post and realise they’re missing out on some top-tier lap cats. 🤠🐾❤️

Fingers crossed Doc and the gang don’t have to wait much longer for their forever homes! 🤞🏼🏡🐱

🐾 Washing Machine Disaster 🤯😤😭

With animals comes bedding… and with animals and bedding together comes an endless supply of stinky, messy washing 🤢🤮

Our big, sturdy, old faithful washing machine, Spin Diesel suddenly decided its days of tackling rescue laundry were over! Sadly, it forgot to give us any warning or retirement notice first 🙀🫨

With mountains of towels, blankets and bedding piling up, there were a few frantic messages sent and a lot of Marketplace scrolling happening. Thankfully, rescue luck was on our side! 🙌🏻

A huge thank you to William from Yarralumla, who very generously donated a washing machine to the rescue. 💙

The clothesline is full once again, and Sir Spin-a-Lot (or perhaps The Great Stain Slayer 🤔😂) is already working overtime to bring fresh smells back to the many towels, blankets and sheets our rescue babies love to snuggle into.

Rescue isn’t just about food and vet bills—sometimes it’s the everyday essentials like a reliable washing machine that keep everything running behind the scenes.

Thank you, William, for helping us keep our furry and feathered friends clean, comfortable and cosy. 🐶🐱🐔🦚🐾

😮‍💨 What a whirlwind few weeks we’ve had!

Apologies for being a little quiet on the socials lately — things have been incredibly busy behind the scenes with so many furbabies in care, countless vet trips, medications, trapping efforts, and somehow finding room for more urgent intake requests.

At the moment, we have over 30 cats, kittens, dogs and even a few feathered friends and cows in care. It’s been a lot of juggling, but when there are so many animals needing help, it’s hard to say no.

We’ve also been working with the community on four street cat colonies, helping to trap, desex, and return or rehome more than 20 cats so far. There are still a few left to catch, but we’re hopeful we’ll have those colonies under control in the coming weeks.

It’s been busy, exhausting, rewarding, and sometimes a little chaotic — just the way rescue life tends to be!
