Penny is staying at Paws Please and today it's her Mum's birthday. She misses her Mum a lot but she's trying to make the most of it in New Farm Park today. Happy birthday Amy. I hope you are having a relaxing time abroad.

Penny - Pug x cutest - is staying with me while her Mum is in Samoa. We've had a lovely time together even though it's been raining.

Paws Please became an award winning salon the week before last. Justice, at only 6 months in, received an encouragement award for Schnauzer breed style, and I received 3rd place for my Poodle breed lambs trim. Neither of us had any expectations of getting an award but very happy and surprised we did. Paws Please placed a lot of value on continued training and education and competitions are great for that. You get advice, tips and tricks from Judges and Master groomers who are known Australia wide and, in lots of cases, I internationally. Here are the official photos. We had such a great weekend.

Paws Please first doggy day care day consisted of playing in the back yard, 3.7km walk through Toohey Forest. Lucy was carried for about a km but, my goodness, she did so well and wanted to lead the pack. It was raining the whole time so they all got a warm bath and dry off when we got back. Then slowly they went into relaxation mode.

This weekend Paws Please competed in a grooming competition. Justice after only 6 months received an encouragement award for giving Barkley a breed specific Schnauzer groom. I continue to work on my Breed Specific Poodle groooms receiving 3rd place in that category.

It''s the first time we have competed. We both learnt a lot from the judge watching technique, timing, pooch interaction, tools etc. and receiving her feedback. We also learnt a lot from other professional and master groomers.

Thanks to The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition for giving us this opportunity and The Clipping Point for producing a beautiful magazine.

I couldn't resist this AI template for Lulu. What do you think Julie Fay Brims? Is this Lulu?
