🩷🐾 NOVA IS HOME SAFE
Little sausage dog Nova went missing from her owner Andrea’s mother’s home in Broadmeadows, Victoria, on 20th August 2026.

Nova was staying at Andrea’s mum’s home while Andrea cared for her mum’s dog, who had undergone emergency surgery. Nova is a little timid girl and became frightened when Andrea’s mum’s carer arrived and escaped. 💔

On 22nd August, Andrea contacted Milly’s Melb for help. Her family were already searching and putting out flyers, we provided advice and guidance on where to search, flyer placements and letterbox drops, and began studying maps to identify possible areas Nova could track through and places she may hide.

Then on 26th August 26, we received the most wonderful news… NOVA HAD BEEN FOUND 🥹🩷

There had been no sightings of Nova since she took off, everyone was absolutely thrilled to hear she was had been found.

Nova was spotted by a local lady who had received one of Andrea’s letterbox drops. She saw Nova running down a street literally just around the corner from where she went missing.

Nova’s mum and dad rushed to the area and within just 15 minutes, little Nova was safely back in their arms 🥹🏡🩷

This is exactly why we cannot stress enough the importance of FLYERS AND LETTERBOX DROPS when your pet goes missing.

🚨 DO NOT rely solely on social media.

Not everyone is on social media or belongs to lost pet and community groups. Flyers and letterbox drops reach the people living right where your pet may be hiding or travelling.

If Andrea hadn’t put that flyer in this letterbox, this lovely local lady may never have known who to contact when she spotted Nova.

🚨 If you haven’t found your lost pet within 24 hours, DO NOT WAIT. Get flyers out and start letterbox drops as quickly as possible.

We’ve been working hard alongside lost pet families, helping to search and reunite with their beloved pets. ❤️

While we celebrate every Home Safe and the joy of seeing families reunited 🎉 we still have lost pets out there waiting to be found and brought home. 🐾💔

🏡🩷 KEVIN IS HOME SAFE!

Little Pug Kevin took the opportunity to take himself for a walk on the 14th August 2026 in Ferntree Gully, Victoria. 🐾

After multiple sightings on the first day, there was suddenly nothing. 💔

The amazing local community and PUG RESCUE & ADOPTION VICTORIA INC. community rallied behind Kevin, searching, distributing flyers and letterbox drops, flying drones and sharing posts.

❤️ Milly’s Search, Trap & Reunite Melbourne Victoria participated on the ground search, provided a camera and thermal monocular, and supported Kevin’s family every step of the way.

Then on 20th August, gentleman named Ian called with the news Kevin had been sighted on a mostly vacant property the day before.

Mandy and Sean dropped everything and raced there. With patience and by following advice, Kevin finally came to his dad. 🥹❤️

📣 THE LETTERBOX DROP WAS THE REASON KEVIN WAS SIGHTED.

The neighbour Ian wasn’t on social media. Thankfully, an amazing local search volunteer Mark had dropped a flyer into his letterbox.

Without that flyer, Kevin may still be missing.

Ruby has had multiple sightings, including sightings THIS AFTERNOON, and she seems to be moving between Hamlyn Heights and Bell Post Hill.

Ruby has only just arrived at her new home in Geelong West. She was outside for just a couple of minutes and unfortunately managed to jump the fence and get out.

As she is new to the area, she may be frightened, disoriented and unsure of her surroundings.

Holly is a 13-year-old female Jack Russell who has been missing from the Warrnambool area since Wednesday 19th August. Her owner desperately needs help to bring his precious girl home ❤️

📍 LAST SEEN: 6:30pm, Wednesday 19th August
📍 AREA: Koroit Street, Warrnambool

🙏 WE URGENTLY NEED LOCALS TO HELP!

If you live in or around Koroit Street and surrounding Warrnambool areas, please help by:

🔹 Keeping an eye out while walking or driving around your neighbourhood
🔹 Checking your yards, sheds, garages and under houses
🔹 Asking your neighbours to check their properties

🚨 Wʜᴀᴛ ɪs Rᴇꜰᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ Sʏɴᴅʀᴏᴍᴇ?

⚠️ Refeeding Syndrome can happen when a starving dog suddenly receives too much food after going without proper nutrition for a long time.

When a dog has been starving, their body slows down to survive. Suddenly introducing large amounts of food can shock their system and lead to serious complications.

Risks may include:
🐾 Refeeding Syndrome
🐾 Organ overload
🐾 Vomiting, diarrhoea & gastrointestinal distress
🐾 Heart complications and organ failure

💚 If you find a starving or severely underweight dog:
✔️ Seek veterinary advice as soon as possible
✔️ Offer small amounts of water
✔️ Feed small meals slowly and gradually
✔️ Monitor closely for any changes in health

A starving dog needs careful support, not a full belly all at once.

When a beloved pet goes missing, social media alone is not enough ❌

Not everyone is online, not everyone sees every post and not everyone belongs to a lost pet group. Your post can disappear within hours in social media feeds.

✅ That’s why flyers and letterbox drops are essential, especially if your pet has been missing for 24 hours 📄🏠

The sooner people know your pet is missing, the sooner you have an extra set of eyes keeping a look out for them.

👀 FLYERS AND LETTERBOX DROPS MAKE PEOPLE LOOK DIFFERENTLY!!

Someone may have already seen your pet, didn’t take much notice or think much of it. This happens a lot!

Each flyer and Letterbox drop tells people:

📍 A pet is missing

They also help identify movement, as pets can travel well beyond the area where they disappeared.

After 7 days missing, a vet check up adventure is a good stop… 🐾🩺
Mum and Dad came with me this time, to hold my paw and make sure I didn’t wander off the lot! 😂❤️

After my BIG adventure, today was the day…
Mum and Dad took me to Tooronga Veterinary Hospital on our way! 🐾

To see Dr Andrew, who kindly made time…
To check this little miracle boy was doing just fine! 🥹❤️
He checked me from my head to my toes,
And even had a good look at my little nose! 😂🐶

Apart from some scratches on my ears from my travels afar…
Dr Andrew says I’m PAWFECT, what a superstar! 🥰🐾

Seven days missing, out roaming around…
But somehow my family and community found…
A way to keep searching, never give in..,
Until finally someone spotted me and called to bring me in! ❤️

Now I’m home with my Mum, Dad and family I adore..,
Getting cuddles and treats and asking for more! 😂🏡
