How cute is Derek!!!??? 5 month old Maltipoo. It's puppies like this that make me melt and make me so grateful I quit my corporate job to do this full time. I forget what day and time it is while I am grooming their coats. So cute!!!

Thank you for maintaining his coat! It made my life so much easier and also his 1st grooming experience more pleasant too. When their coat is matted and it is their first groom, it isn't ideal for their comfort and I have to be so cautious when using clippers without the attachment comb on them. So important to always comb out their coat on a regular basis. ❤️🙏🏽

Thinking about getting a Poodle or Doodle?
Please read this before you fall in love with those curls 😅🐩

If someone’s told you “they don’t need grooming till 1 year old” or “they’re low-maintenance,” that’s a lie. 🙃
What you see in the photo is called pelting — when the coat gets so matted it literally becomes one big, painful sheet. It pulls on the skin, causes infections, and can even be deadly. 💔

Poodle mixes like cavoodles, groodles and maltipoos are gorgeous, but they’re also one of the highest-maintenance breeds when it comes to grooming.
You’ll need to brush and comb through their coat 2–3 times a week, get them groomed every 3–5 weeks, and avoid letting them air-dry after baths... that’s when mats form fast.

If your groomer ever says they need to go short, please don’t get upset. They’re doing what’s kindest for your dog, not trying to “ruin the look.”

Ask them to show you line brushing.. it’s a total game-changer.

And please, don’t listen to breeders who say “no haircuts till they’re one.” That’s just marketing. Start grooming as early as 4 months and your pup will actually enjoy the process. 🐶✨

Meet Kenzo the gorgeous 8 year old cavoodle, furbaby of my dear friend abdou
We gave him a beautiful groom today. What a gentle soul he is! Has to be one of the most well behaved furbabies I've groomed so far. No anxiety, no flinching or aggression. He was a real gentleman. Can't wait to see him again in 6 weeks for his next groom. 😍 🐾❤️🙌🏽

This little cutie, Honey, came to me with a terribly matted coat and looked like she hadn't been groomed in over 6 months. So I spent some time with her and gave her a bath, washed her with shampoo and conditioner, clipped her right down to reveal her beautifully soft coat underneath and shaped her face to bring out her pretty face.
What a delight she was to groom! Right on time before it hits 38 degrees celcius in a few days!

Say hello to Apollo, a beautiful Spoodle with his 3rd groom. He's getting the idea now that he needs a groom which requires clippers and trimmers and all kinds of scissors. He did good!! He turned out good too!! 🐾🙏🏽😍

Finally getting more confident with my grooming techniques. It's been just under 2 months since I started and am getting better.

This is a beautiful cavoodle that I groomed this morning. Took longer than I hoped however he was a bit anxious so I gad to be extra gentle and take my time.

This is the before and after of this beautiful furbaby.
