Tales of Bluey - The Big Blue Horse Truck #7
Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic holiday break.
Our first outing of 2025 had us absolutely buzzing. It was going to be Blueyās debut with both of our horses on boardāMav and Jackieāand I could feel the excitement in the air. But before we could hit the road, there was some prep work to do.
Blueyās got a serious bull bar (Advanced Herd Bullbars) on the front, and that means before you can pop the hood, youāve got to get the beast down. No easy task, either. Itās all about those giant pins, and to loosen them, we needed a big metal bar and a fair bit of muscle. After a lot of grunting and pulling, the first two pins came out, but the bull bar didnāt budge. A bit more fiddling around andāah!āthereās the third pin. Step 1: success! The bull bar was finally down.
With the hood now accessible, it was time to find the hood release button inside the cab. After a quick check, we topped up the windscreen washer water and checked the fluid levels. All good. Then came the fun part: cleaning off the spider webs that had made themselves at home over the break (I swear they set up a whole village under there). Tyre pressures were checked next, and once everything was in order, it was time to crank the engine.
Now, the real testāgetting the horses loaded up. Mav was first, and what a legend he was, walking straight onto the truck like he owned the place. Jackie followed him in without any fuss, and soon enough, both of them were settled and ready to go.
And just like that, we were off! Destination: Werribee.
I know itās been a little quiet on the Bluey front for a while, and I appreciate all of you checking in. Thereās definitely some catching up to do, but for now, Iāll leave you hanging just a bit longer. Thereās a reason behind the silence, and as much as Iād love to spill all the details, Iāll save those stories for later!!!!
