I apologise, but due to a recent surge in clients missing appointments, and a long waitlist of clients wishing for earlier appointments, I will now be enforcing the $30 fee for missed appointments. There is no fee if you cancel your appointment up to 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This allows me time to offer the appointment to another client.
I appreciate your understanding.

Edit: only 1 full groom available for April now. There are two spots for a small groom and tidy only, otherwise we are now looking into May. I encourage those with bookings in March to consider booking future appointments now if possible to avoid disappointment.

Availability:
March: fully booked
April: only 3 appointments available
If you do not have your next appointment booked in, do it ASAP. It is recommended to have your dog groomed every 4-6 weeks, and we are now looking at potentially an 8 week wait. Please consider going on an automatic recurring schedule or booking your appointments for the year to avoid disappointment.

Next availability is March 25th with only 3 appointments available that week, then we are into April! I encourage you to...

It is with great sadness that I announce that I can no longer keep doing large to XL dogs. Unfortunately these dogs are resulting in repeated injury to myself and it's not fair to my other customers or my family. I will be keeping on a few large dogs that I know I can manage and any new requests will be taken on a case by case. I can do large dogs that weigh very little and/or behave well. At this stage, Huskies will be kept on but can not book online. I will not be taking many, if any golden retrievers.
As I know most groomers are booked out for a good month, I will keep existing appointments and use that to assess whether I can keep your dog on. I'm so very sorry. Please contact me if you wish to discuss your dog.

NEWS and AVAILABILITY
Hi, I've recently switched booking software. Please let me know if you have any issues booking online or with reminders.
I'm currently fully booked until February 18th (1 small-med) then nothing until the 24th. It's imperative at this stage that you consider booking your next appointment ASAP after your last groom. If you have the luxury of going on a recurring schedule, I highly recommend it.
I have more news coming soon. Some may have seen a sneak peak on my website but I'm waiting to properly announce it (I've been a bit busy with a new bath installation and changing systems). Stay tuned!

Have you thought about your next groom?
Here's my January availability
From 1st-12th: FULLY BOOKED
Week of the 13th: 3-4 spots available
Week of the 20th: CLOSED
Week of the 27th: 8-9 spots available
If you can set up a regular schedule, I highly recommend it to avoid disappointment. Here's my recommendations:
Short haired breeds (include double coats and wired haired): baths every 3-4 weeks
Long haired clipped short or long: rotate between bath/bath and tidy at 4 weeks and full groom next 4 weeks
Long/Thick double coated breeds: De-shed (with or without tidy) every 4-8 weeks
Full length show coats: every 2-4 weeks.
Why come every 3-4 weeks?
The skin cycle of your dog is 21 days. To promote good skin and coat condition, we need to return nutrients back into the new skin as it emerges. Double coated breeds will benefit from removing the loose dead undercoat and allow the fur to work as intended as a protective barrier and maintaining body temperature. Wired haired dogs need their hairs manually stripped to avoid them clogging the pores and inhibiting the growth of new hairs, just like the bushes would do for them in the outdoors.
Long haired breeds need help keeping the length moisturised as their natural sebum struggles to reach the ends with proper regular brushing with the correct tools.
With the right products, the correct grooming for your breed and an educated groomer, your pets skin and coat should reach optimal condition, providing comfort and protection for your pet. If you'd like to learn what is recommended for your breed, don't hesitate to ask. Your pets health is my top priority.
