If youβve ever wondered whether hydrotherapy, laser therapy, or acupuncture are truly worth it for your dog, I can say without hesitation that they are among the greatest gifts you could give your beloved pup. These treatments have been life-changing for our dogs in the most beautiful way, and I only wish more pet owners knew what was possible.
Three of our precious furbabies have been cared for by Alison and the incredible team at Dogs in Motion, and we are forever grateful for the love, expertise, and compassion theyβve shown every step of the way.
Chuck was, for quite some time, their oldest client, and he absolutely thrived with hydrotherapy. As he began slowing down and showing signs of arthritis, I started searching for something that could help improve his quality of life. Finding Dogs in Motion changed everything. What began as a cautious hope turned into a remarkable transformation. Chuck went from being a tired 15-year-old dog to a thriving 18.5-year-old after 3.5 years of fortnightly hydro sessions. At 18, he was still doing his little old-man run, and we genuinely credit hydrotherapy for giving him those extra happy, active years.
Our beautiful boy Ninja was always energetic and adventurous, a true mountain goat at heart. As he aged and arthritis crept in, hydrotherapy and laser treatments gave him a new lease on life. After sessions, heβd get the zoomies and weβd find ourselves chasing him down the street because he was bursting with energy and joy. Heβd race around the oval at full speed, and no one could believe his age when we told them. Ninja crossed the rainbow bridge at 16 due to a sudden illness, but without a doubt, we believe he would have kept running just like Chuck if heβd had the chance.
The last of our three amigos is Panda, who is now 16.5 years old and thriving thanks to hydrotherapy and acupuncture. Panda lost her vision after being diagnosed with SARDS and is now also losing her hearing, but none of that stops our brave, sassy little angel. Alison has always cared for all of our dogs with extraordinary kindness and intuition, she treats every dog as if they were her own and loves them deeply. She truly is a gift to this world, and we are endlessly thankful for the care sheβs given not only our dogs, but us humans too.
Panda also receives acupuncture from Sara, whose warmth and care are just as incredible. Sara is highly intuitive, extremely thorough and is able to provide such a personalised plan for your dog because she spends the time getting to know every little detail which is so important. The difference we see in Panda after her hydro and acupuncture sessions is genuinely astounding! Her energy, liveliness, and spirit noticeably shine through every single time.
Michelle and Greg have created something truly special at Dogs in Motion, a place of healing, compassion, and hope. We feel incredibly blessed to have access to treatments that have made such a profound difference in our dogsβ lives.
Every single member of the Dogs in Motion team is wholeheartedly devoted to the wellbeing of dogs and the people who love them. We could not recommend them more highly.
And if youβre still unsure, I encourage you to try a few sessions with your own pup and see the difference for yourself. Beyond your love, it may just be the greatest gift you can give them.
