Our most regular Pooch Pal Maisy came for a sleepover over the weekend. She’s such a little sweetie, who strolls around the house like she lives here - which is exactly what I want for our Pooch Pad Pals - and with her gorgeous golden coat, looks like The Goldie Gang’s little cousin running around with them 🩵🐾

Look who’s back! Miss Maisy Moo was a guest a few times over summer and has returned to join The Pooch Pad at Easter 🐣 Maisy has always needed to be next to me at all times, being able to see me is not enough! - so her bed is next to mine, she comes to the shops with me, she watches closely anything I am doing. But we’re working on this. I’ve loved watching Maisy grow in confidence and her anxiety lessen while hanging with The Goldie Gang. She runs around with them as a pack, looking like their little cousin who has come to stay, joining in the barking at the dog who lives behind, alerting us to anyone who has come to our house, as well as those walking past; playing chasey; checking out what’s happening out the dog door to the front yard. Go Maisy! 🩵🐾

Our second Easter guest is Beautiful Billy! Billy loves running around with the gang but always has an eye on me and is my adorable little shadow when I move around the house. When the dogs are all lazing around on the floor, Billy will always find a comfier spot on a couch or mattress. His super expressive face had kept me smiling all weekend 🩵🐾

Our first guest at Easter is the Vivacious Viva! She’s the sweetest soul who is is effortless to look after. Viva loves the simple things: playing with other dogs - she enthusiastically asks every dog to play with her as soon as she meets them! 😍 - carrying a stuffed toy around that she’s claimed as her baby, taking her time to savour and slowly eat her meal (unlike any golden I’ve ever seen!) and sitting next to me and getting head scratches 🩵🐾

In our house, the 26th of January is a significant day for a different reason - and today it’s a particularly special one - it’s Tony’s 16th birthday 🩵

We went to his favourite place in the world, the beach, where he mainly sat resting his head on me which we’ve done a lot of in his later years. Then we went to the pub for dinner, where he always loves going and today with his birthday balloon, he had nonstop attention and pats, then a sit down by the river.

Tony has been my boy for such a long time, I can’t imagine life without him, and I know how incredibly lucky I am to have had 16 years with his big boof head. Today, we celebrate him 🩵
