🎉ADOPTED🎉 - Boots
Last Monday our handsome senior boy Boots left for his forever home & after 18 months in our care it felt weirdly surreal that our biggest wish for him had finally become a reality. At almost 15 years old Boots has found the best forever home we could have hoped for.
When we welcome a senior animal into our care we do so knowing that there's no guarantee they'll ever find a forever home. We take on that responsibility wholeheartedly knowing that we may be their happy forever & if that's what life has planned for them then we will do everything we can to give them the very best quality of life.
But nothing compares to the happiness of watching an animal you've loved & helped through some of their most darkest times, begin a beautiful new chapter with a family who adores them just as much as BFFR do. Sometimes the happiest endings are the ones we spend the longest hoping & wishing for.
Over the past three weeks FOUR of our precious senior cats have found their forever homes! For a small rescue like BFFR where so much of our hearts & resources go into helping animals who are often overlooked, these moments mean more than words could ever express. It's not simply about finding them a home. It's about knowing that after everything they've been through, they have found a place where they are valued, cherished & loved unconditionally.
One of the most beautiful parts of rescue for me is knowing that the happiness goes both ways. That these precious souls who have given us so much love & purpose during their time in our care, are now bringing that same incredible joy, comfort & companionship into the lives of their adopters. We may have been the ones who helped them find their feet again, but their forever families are the ones giving them not just a home, but a life truly worth living. A very special place where their happiness & wellbeing will always come first & where they can continue to enjoy the wonderful quality of life they deserved all along. That is what we wish for every single animal who comes into our care.
