A tricky whole backyard enclosure was completed in Sandringham this week by Des and Karen. Posts added to the back fence raised the roof net to the height of the eaves on the house, giving a flat roof Net and higher than the fence on that side. A very tight space around the garden shed (which has a HWS and a water tank in it, took ages to do because of the restricted space for workers and ladders.

All in all, the job turned out beautifully and client and cats are very happy.

We are particularly proud of this job and the clients are very happy too Two weeks ago we enclosed the whole yard (narrow side yard, plus back courtyard) at this lovely home in Richmond for their two precious cats. How lucky are they!

A late finish to this lovely courtyard cat haven meant not many photos were taken, and they are darkish at that. But, the client was delighted with the finished product.

The job consisted of:
- A timber sleeper installed across the garden bed;
- Enclosure of a 6.5m long x 2.6m wide x 3.4m high section of the backyard in CatNets low-vis black cat netting: with roof netting, a net wall with zipper gate, and a net wall above the side colorbond fence and gate;
- Blocked off gaps next to the Colorbond fence with timber blocks;
- Installed a strip of black aluminium to the handle hole in the Colorbond gate, to prevent the cats escaping through it;
- Installed 5x Cat Nets wall platforms onto the concrete block wall of the house, so the cats can get up high and look out over the back fence;
- Installed a large CatNets cat hammock in the garden for the cats to laze on in the sun.

Ben can’t wait to introduce his furry family members to their new outdoor play space. I look forward to sharing his photos with you all when they arrive from him.

How lucky are Tracee’s cats to have this beautiful balcony to spend time out on, and views of the wonderful communal courtyard to enjoy!

If you live in an apartment with a balcony, your cat can enjoy the outdoors too, by having the balcony made safe by enclosing it in black cat netting. DIY or done by a professional installer, the choice is yours.

Wow! What wonderful cat owners there are out there. Georgie and her partner wanted their cats to be able to roam their whole yard (narrow long side yard and 8m x 3.5m backyard. We were privileged to do the job for them.

It’s been a balcony few weeks at Kat Havens by Karen. Another lovely balcony cat enclosure; this time for Kaz’s three cats. This young male took to its new outdoor play space with ease.

Balcony enclosure idea for renters:
Some small balconies can be enclosed with a removable framed net wall, which eliminates any holes being drilled into walls, soffit and floor. This one was built and netted on the ground and roped up onto the second floor balcony, then secured to the balustrade using using thick UV-stabilised cable ties. When the renter moves out, the cable ties can be cut and the frame simply removed.
