🦁 GOLD SPIRIT // SIMBA 🦁

Some times they win pretty and some times you have to fight like a bulldog with a little bit of luck.

Some days you win on talent and some days it can be your diva attitude and a small little gap that is all the difference. Today it was the latter.

Being forced to sit in the gates for an extended period of time while the rest loaded and with a late scratching wasn’t ideal. He slightly missed the jump, found a good position in running and when a little gap for a little horse opened up at the shadow of the post. He knuckled down and got his nose down on the line.

Perfect ride from Brooke King - Jockey , where patience was the order of the day after the jump. She just waited and waited and when she finally said go, they squeezed through the little gap and got the head down where it matters the most

🦁 S I M B A // G O L D S P I R I T 🦁

Tomorrow sees Simba step out for his second run this prep, in one of the last 3 year old races for the season. Stepping up to 1000ms with Caitlin Tootell in the saddle. Caitlin knows him well, riding him for 4th at Murray Bridge at the start of the year.

Great first up run for the little pocket rocket. He had to sit out wide due to the barrier for most of the run. But when they straightened he chased well and found the line really well to go down by a long neck.

He will take great improvement from the run. Now Simba is doing what we all should be, enjoying the view out in the Winter’s Sun and waiting for feed up. You’ve earned your tucker tonight little man.

The little🦁 is back. Simba has come back in great order. Brooke his favourite jockey will be doing the steering, so he’s over the moon about that.

We’ve been excited to get him back to the track to close out his 3 year old campaign over the next 4 weeks.

Tomorrow is the start of the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Horse Auctions.

Like most years three generations have gone through the book; Boonie (Levi) has put in hours of research in even producing a three page double spread, colour coded spreadsheet (which has had his parents questioning what hes actually been doing when he say he's "doing homework") today the stable attended inspections and we are happy to report that we have alignment on a couple of lovely looking Yearlings that could potentially be running under the Kluske Bloodstock & Racing banner at the completion of the sales this week.

Our Little Margie is already famous. Born on Monday morning she’s all ready showing the stubbornness of her mother Delta ‘The Publikin’ in not wanting to drink from her mum.

The team at Morphettville Equine Clinic have been doing an amazing job and Margie is going from strength to strength and she’s starting to get the knack of it.

The clinic has made a call out this foaling season for more milk for their Milk Bank. Not just to help our lil Margie, but for the many foals they will help out this foaling season.

We Need Your Help!
We are having a busy foal season and our milk bank is running low! If you can donate healthy mare milk with < 7 day old foals that would be truely amazing to help some foals in need of a little boost in life!
What you have to do! Milk your mare and put the milk in a container or sealed glad wrap bag - please put the date you collected the milk and the age of the foal with day 1 being the day the foal was born so we know what day the milk has been produced. Freeze the milk or colostrum and then drop off to us with ice bricks!

🦁 SIMBA 🦁

Our little pocket 🚀 did us proud yesterday. 10 days between runs, going up in weight, an extra 100ms and city class racing.

He showed that fighting spirit making the speed into a head wind and led them all the way down the straight and just got beaten on the line. He doesn’t know how to give up. He’s a little boxer when they try to pass him.

Thanks Rochelle for the perfect ride, if only his neck was that little bit longer 🦒

Gold Spirit heads to Morphettville today in the 3 year old sprint race. He’s trained on well from his win at Murray Bridge and from barrier 2 should sit in a positive position.
