Hi everyone! 😃 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to those of you whom I haven’t yet met!
My name is Emily. I grew up in the Belgian countryside and was fortunate enough to be thrown into the world of horses from a very young age. 🐴
With an ex-jockey as a mother, you could say I was genetically predisposed to get the ‘horse bug’. And sure enough… I learned to ride my ponies; Harley, Lena and Poppy in the hills of the Ardennes. To this day, trail rides are still my preferred way to spend time in the saddle. 🌿
I began taking my riding more seriously at the age of 12. I spent most weekends either competing in showjumping🏆, trail riding🌳, or somewhere in the paddock with my horses. 🐎
When my parents decided to move across the world to Australia, my competition days came to an end. Though my riding career may have slowed down, my interest in horses did not. I have always had a foot in the equestrian world in order to get my 'horse fix'. 😜
Eventually, I decided caring for and riding other people's horses wasn't enough anymore and so, in 2021, my partner and I moved to the Sunshine Coast to start Primmley Equestrian! 🤩🥳
Now, my days consist of caring for my furr family (🐴&🐶), exploring new horse trails with friends, and if I can get away from the ponies, I do love a day at the beach🏖 with a good book. 📖
I'm currently enrolled in a nationally accredited Diploma in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to undergo further training and continue expanding my knowledge of the equine-human relationship. ✍🏼
I'm also in the process of becoming an EA accredited horse riding coach. 🏇
I am fully insured and safety practices are employed during all of my lessons to keep both riders and horses safe.
I look forward to meeting some more of you soon! 😃
