So, we have some float/pressure issues since we had a bit of a water-line upgrade... so lots of repairs being made... but sorry to say, this is not a natural maintenance problem..
This is a DP Ruffnut problem!
And it's the 3rd trough in a Ruffnut paddock that has to be fixed because she thinks climbing in the trough and playing in the water is a great idea (its freezing. She's nuts!)
This float arm was bent at 90° to what it was meant to be...
It was a COLD day to be playing in water for poor Bruce.
I was warned by Western Waler Stud & before she got here she was a bit of a water nut (she likes to drown herself in the dams too) but the troughs that she's been swimming in are doing it tough!!!

Jasper, getting his first ride back at home.. and yes, Willa is on board, because I had a surgery this week and apparantly, stitches mean NO riding..🙄 but here's Willa, and Jasper is a Merric-baby; between his parent genetics, he's a bit of sooky smooch, and given he still has his stones, we hope he helps contribute some lovely stock to our breeding program.

Yep, it's flooding.
Our local tarred road is now closed and this is what the boys got up to yesterday, and unsuccessfully at that...snapped a chain then had to purchase an expensive snatchstrap and still didn't get it moved..... this was before the ACTUAL flooding and apparantly, tractor is in a waterway😬 someone is feeling a little sheepish.. (Hint: IT WAS NOT ME, thankfully)
Glad I stocked up on milk and eggs yesterday- and since we're meant to be on morning tea at church this a.m, I spent yesterday baking...
Now it has nowhere to go but us.
I think we'll be putting weight on this week!!!

Spent the a.m with Bruce at the open day in prep for their bull sale. Since I move slow and my eyes are now junk, here are some of the boys, as I was taking magnified photos (to then magnify more🤦🏽‍♀️ so I coul read eartags to correlate the bull with the details on the supp sheet.)..
Sale is on the 21st Aug, & I will unfortunately miss it, as I have an oncology appointment at exactly the same time as the sale starts. Someone from the family will probably go, to try and get the one we choose to buy, but here's a sneak peak of their magnified faces taken by my phone camera...
