🐔❤️ Twistie's Wry Neck Journey ❤️🐔
Meet Twistie.
On 3 March 2026, at just 17 weeks old, Cream Legbar, Twistie developed a severe case of wry neck. Her condition became so severe that her head was literally upside down, and at times it seemed impossible that she would recover. It was heartbreaking to see such a young chicken struggling.
We started her on Vitamin C, selenium, and Anitone, and gave her all the care and support we could. Recovery was slow, with good days and bad days, so we took things one day at a time.
During her recovery, Twistie even had a 10-day sleepover at Grandad's house while we were away. She continued receiving her treatment there, along with plenty of care and attention.
Week by week, Twistie kept fighting and gradually improved. After weeks of patience, care, and determination, she made remarkable progress. By 14 April 2026, she was mostly recovered and back to enjoying life as a happy young chicken.
Her journey reminded us just how resilient chickens can be and how even the smallest creatures can show incredible determination. We're so proud of our little fighter and grateful that she came through such a difficult challenge.
Well done, Twistie. 💕🐓
