Heartworm Alert for Dog Owners
A heartworm-positive dog has recently been diagnosed in our local area.
We encourage all dog owners to check their pet's heartworm prevention and ensure it is up to date. Heartworm disease is spread by mosquitoes and can be a serious threat to your dog's health.
If your dog's heartworm prevention is overdue or has lapsed, a blood test may be required before restarting prevention to ensure they are heartworm-free.
If your pet is due for a heartworm check or needs to get up to date with their prevention, please contact the clinic to book an appointment.
Protect your pet—prevention is far safer and more affordable than treatment. 🐾

Take Your Dog to Work Day 🐶💼

When is it?
In 2026, it’s on Friday, 26 June 2026 (it’s always the Friday after Father’s Day).

What is it?
A fun, unofficial holiday where employees can bring their dogs to work for the day, if the workplace allows it.

Why does it exist?
It was created in 1999 by Pet Sitters International to:

Celebrate the companionship of dogs 🐕
Encourage pet adoption from shelters and rescues

Why people love it:

Boosts morale and team bonding
Makes the workplace more relaxed and social
Gives non‑dog owners a chance to see the human–animal bond 💙

Simple ways to take part:

Get approval from your workplace first
Bring a well-trained, friendly dog
Pack essentials (water bowl, treats, leash, bed)
Be mindful of coworkers with allergies or fears

“Take Your Dog to Work Day”🐾 Its a little different for staff at a veterinary clinic, where we have dogs all day. But if your workplace allows it - have a wonderful day with your doggo.

🐱💛 Hug Your Cat Day 💛🐱
Today’s the purr-fect excuse to give your feline friend some extra love! Whether they’re a snuggle bug or prefer affection on their terms (we all know the type 😸), take a moment to show your kitty just how much they mean to you.
A gentle hug, a chin scratch, or simply sitting together—because sometimes the best hugs are shared in silence.
📸 Don’t forget to snap a pic and share it with your favourite cuddle buddy!

JUNE is National Microchipping Month.
🐾 The importance of microchipping your pets 🐾
Microchipping is one of the simplest ways to help reunite lost animals with their families. 💙
Keeping your contact details up to date is just as important—because when they’re found, we want to get them home fast.
Let’s work together to keep our furry friends safe and connected.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐
Today we celebrate all the mums — our wonderful two‑legged mothers who juggle life, love, snacks, advice, and endless to‑do lists… and our amazing four‑legged fur mummas who raise their babies with patience, protection, and the occasional firm nose‑boop.
From school drop‑offs to litter clean‑ups, bedtime stories to belly rubs, you all give unconditional love (and somehow seem to do it on very little sleep).
Here’s to every mum who nurtures, worries, cheers loudly, loves fiercely, and keeps it all together — or at least makes it look like they do. Happy Mother’s Day to the humans and the fur mummas who make the world warmer, funnier, and full of love. 🐾💖
