So incredibly honoured to have had some big wins at todays Queensland Rodent Fanciers show. This show had so many Smelly Rat entries i felt so proud to see all my sweet babies do so well.

After having three litters this year (and closing out the year with a fourth 🤫), as well as facilitating rescues and rehoming via the rattery, it has been a crazy journey and alot of work. I am so grateful that people love my bubs as much as i do.
I will be doing another post with my rat entry wins but just wanted to talk about this separately as well as the images being a different format 🫶

Mailou babies are 6 weeks today!! Only a few more weeks till they go to their forever homes.
Having such a large litter has been a huge handful but their cute little faces make it so worth it

Mailou litter turned 2 weeks yesterday!!
(Facebook wont let me post pics and vids together so prepare for a small timeline spam)
It has been so good to have baby Smelly Rats again. Bubs are all opening their eyes now and on the run.
Mama Matte has been amazing at keeping all 13 bubs chunky and happy and she regularly gets big kisses, cuddles and treats for all her efforts. Watching your babies have babies of their own is wild 😭
While bubs are 6 weeks away from being ready for adoption, I’ve been pleasantly spammed with expression of interest forms! Feel free to keep submitting if you would like to adopt a Smelly Rat in the future. Submitting an expression of interest form (in bio) is the best way to get in contact and be considered for adopting in the future.
I also have the possibility of helping to rehome some rescue bubs in the near future too so feel free to contact for info.
In the meantime keep an eye on my timeline and story for all the rat baby content you could ask for!

✨Mailou litter! ✨
This morning we had FOURTEEN new babies in the SmellyRats house!!
All babies are doing great and mama is quickly getting the hang of motherhood.
Mum is Smelly Matte a standard dove girl and Dad is Smelly Kailou a double rex variegated cinnamon boy.
Both parents are very sweet and have gorgeous features im excited to keep in my lines. Keep an eye out for plenty of baby pics once these little ones start growing up!

Its time for UQ Queerfest again!!
This year i will be sharing a space with who is getting into the market scene and keen to share their beautiful art.
Since incorporating rat breeding into the Smelly Rats brand, i have still been working hard on my handmade products behind the scenes. I am super excited to bring out some new products that i am obsessed with.
Coming up to the show i will be making my best effort to post about some of the products i will have available including holistic and animal-safe aromatherapy products, accessories and (non-denominational) spiritual items.
I will of course also be bringing along a handful of rats for everyone to meet.
Be sure to come along to support small q***r businesses in a fun and safe environment!!

QUEENSLAND RODENT FANCIERS EASTER SHOW 2025! 🐀
This was such a fun show and as always a perfect time to catch up with a great community and all our beautiful vermin.
•
This was the first ever time having my ‘Smelly’ prefix was able to be used! Lots of bubs from both of my litters not only got to enter the comps but bring home some winners!
We had 2 wins from Smelly rats that have been adopted:

Unfortunately some of my best show rats were a little under the weather so they had to miss out this time but i am so very proud of my ratties.
Showing is a great way for me to find out what people do/dont like about the rats thats ive bred and help me focus my attention onto how i can improve the rats i produce.

Selling a cage and figured i’d chuck it on here too
Less than 6 months old, classed as a ‘bird’ cage but is a great size for ratties too. Definitely needs a base to keep bedding in but everything else works great.
Only selling as i now have a cage that suits my needs better.
Happy to do a discount for ratty people 😊
