Hollywood icon Johnny Depp teamed up with music legend Rod Stewart for an intimate acoustic concert that raised $300,000 to rescue stray and abandoned cats across the UK.

The private benefit took place in February 2024 at London's luxury Ned Hotel, where the duo performed Stewart's classics including "Maggie May" and "Forever Young."

Attendees bid for tickets at a charity auction, with all proceeds supporting the Celia Hammond Animal Trust, which has rescued vulnerable cats for nearly 40 years.

The charity was founded by 1960s supermodel Celia Hammond, now 81, who dedicated her life to caring for unwanted, stray, and feral cats.

The $300,000 raised will help sick or injured animals whose owners can't afford treatment or don't qualify for help from major charities.

Depp and Stewart previously performed together to honor late guitarist Jeff Beck, who dated Hammond and became a patron of her animal shelters. Depp called Hammond's decades-long devotion to neglected animals "beyond admirable."

The benefit shows how quiet acts of compassion can create massive impact when celebrities use their platform for those who have no voice.
