Miss dark Brahma moved to the broody jail pen today, considering how mad she was about her unformed children being taken, it took her all of 4 minutes to find a good dust bath spot in the sun with the other ladies in broody jail 🙄🫠😂

I have roped in Aarandon Farm who specialise in ahhmazing quality Brahma for this giveaway!

We are giving you the chance to win 2 Brahma pullets (off heat, but colours and age to be discussed pending availability and suitability)

A few boring points to consider…
- these will need to be collected from Langhorne creek OR Murray bridge on arrangement.

- winner will have a period of 2 weeks post birds being available to collect or will forfeit the free birds.

- animal welfare is a huge concern for us, its all a bit of fun, doing a giveaway but These pullets are our babies and require appropriate care.

What’s available this weekend I see 74 people ask via messenger? (I joke, I always love to hear from you ❤️)

Pullets - NOTHING heritage POL.
Closest you’ll get is around 10 week old bantam pullets.
Brahma in a range of colours
J*p bantams
Light sussex x
Frizzles
Belgian duccles
Belgian duccles x pekin
They’re all available, BUT they’re not coop ready to be put with grown up chickens.

Commercial leghorns and isa browns are also available, they’re 13 weeks old and looking fantastic 👌

Chicks. Do I have chicks? Uhhh yeah, just a few hundred 🫠🤣 we don’t have time for me to list what I have but yeah - all of the breeds, sexed, unsexed. Off heat. Day olds…

Nope. Never. Ever. Will I pre sell a chicken. Chick. Or eggs. Chickens are my favourites but I’m also aware they suck at keeping themselves
Alive. I also don’t hold birds, it’s nothing personal, but I would really like to feed the least amount possible everyday, so if you want them, you gotta come get them when they’re good to go!

Can you pick your birds from the pen? While I love this idea in theory. Absolutely not. Biosecurity and stressing my birds out being a stranger aside… how am I going to explain who is even available? Who’s a keeper?
Best I can do is catch anyone available that’s suitable and let you pick from 10+ in a holding area.

Do you need a box? Yeah- if you’re buying pullets, I don’t keep big boxes laying around - but nothing fancy, nappy box, Bunnings box, cat crate, dog crate… saying that, they do like being cosy and dark for their travels, so open dog crates aren’t my top pick but that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chicks - I have boxes for them, usually professionally decorated by Miss 2 and Miss 7!

You’ll always hear me harp on about it, but ask your breeder/seller about their biosecurity, about whether they’re running a closed flock, are they healthy? Are you quarantining the birds when you get home? So many questions!
