We can share our tips for caring for your rabbit(s) as well as knowledge on rabbit nutrition and wellbeing. We can help you set up a comfortable

environment for your rabbit to be a part of your household so you can enjoy your rabbit's antics and love them even more. About the owner:
LeLe is an experienced groomer for short-haired rabbits. With experience caring for rabbits daily needs, post-operative care, and grooming needs too. Supporting animal refuges is very important so alongside donating a portion of sales from the website, LeLe also provides free grooming to various shelters large and boutique. As an owner of 3 rabbits of various breeds, temperaments, and health, LeLe can appreciate the time and dedication needed to groom a rabbit. She has a knack for handling even the most wriggliest and nippiest of rabbits and the patience to ensure every rabbit is sufficiently groomed to minimise the amount of fur that can be consumed by the rabbit - a great side effect of regular grooming is the home will be noticeably less fluffy too. Along with her experience and knowledge, LeLe also conducts thorough research through credible sources including consulting with rabbit specialists to further her understanding of rabbits and their health and wellbeing needs. Prior to establishing Fluffy Time aka Fluffy Time Buns, LeLe has had an extensive career in government and insurance.

Update on my Misty:
Misty’s eye is still protruding a bit. We’ve been to get a second opinion and there’s nothing they can see with the naked eye that’s causing this. The suspected causes however need to be diagnosed from a CT scan so we will go ahead of this. Misty will need a light sedation for the scan which will look at her head and chest. We’re getting this done next week. While I thought it best to do this whilst Misty is active and eating and happy and not wait until she’s battling pain.
Please pray that the cause is nothing life limiting or threatening. An infected tearduct would be ok.
Misty and Sparky are really eager to do away with meeting behind a fence, so once the scan results are back, I would like to help them move in together. They’re always kissing each other through the fence, it makes my heart so happy to see.

‘Brachycephalic Syndrome’

Many people are now familiar with the term ‘brachycephalic’ in reference to flat-faced dog and cat breeds, but did you know, this same condition impacts small mammals too?

Rodents and rabbits are increasingly being bred with unnaturally short, flattened skulls in pursuit of a ‘cute’ baby-faced look. This often comes at a serious cost to the animal’s health and welfare.

Some of the potential medical problems include:

🔸 Dental Disease: Shortened skulls mean overcrowded teeth, poor occlusion, and overgrown molars are more likely.
🔸 Difficulty Thermoregulating: Narrowed airways and malformed sinuses can increase risk of heat stress, especially in warm weather or during illness.
🔸 Increased Anaesthetic Risk: Due to compromised airways and abnormal soft tissue structures, airway control may be difficult during even routine procedures.
🔸 Chronic Respiratory Issues: A compromised upper airway may leave these animals more vulnerable to infections and ongoing breathing difficulties.
🔸 Jaw Misalignment: Skull abnormalities can cause painful joint strain during chewing and grooming.

Please avoid supporting unethical breeders or pet shops, always do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions!
If you already care for a brachycephalic rabbit or rodent, they absolutely deserve the same love and compassion as any other animal. That’s why it’s so important to understand the potential health issues they may face. Knowing what to watch for and ensuring they receive regular veterinary check-ups can make all the difference to their comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life. 💞

Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve been MIA for a week. I will return messages and reschedule appointments on Tuesday when I can be more sure how Misty is doing.
My baby princess Misty was very unwell previous Sunday, I was so scared I’d lose her the next day. I spent all week nursing and monitoring my baby. She’s looking better every day since the scariest day. I’ll know more tomorrow when we have our checkup and let’s pray that Misty doesn’t go into shock tomorrow afternoon after the vet visit. 3 days of daily visits with whole day stays at the vet was just too much for Misty. So we’ve had a good restful few days at home, during which time a glob of pus came out of her right eye🤢 it’s a good sign. So tomorrow we see which antibiotics she should be on to clear the rest of the infection.
Thanking everyone for your patience and understanding while I go through this. (I know, 2 months ago Sparky was poisoned then straight after we had kidney issues with Misty and them right after her eye infection.)
