Dave Wyatt is a member of the ADF, who was diagnosed with PTSD in 2015. In 2016, Dave took his long service leave from the Australian Army and spent winter travelling along the east coast and into Victoria participating in sled dog races with the family's two Siberian Huskies, Banzai! and Lexus, including partaking in his first snow race. a and further awareness of the effect of military associated Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on not only veterans, but their families and the wider community. David uses dog sledding as another form of treatment for his PTSD (alongside more conventional treatment) finding the time on the track with the dogs has a positive effect on his mental well-being. David uses this page as a platform to share his experiences as a sufferer of PTSD, a serving member of the ADF, an eager dog sledder as well as raising funds for Young Veterans.
