After spending weeks terrified in a rural pound, this beautiful girl was due to be put to sleep. We stepped in and brought her into our care. 🥰 🥺

She was so frightened she wouldn’t walk. She pressed herself against the wall, as if she could disappear into it. She’s painfully thin, covered in fleas, and has sores across her body. 😢 We can only imagine what she’s been through—perhaps used for breeding and kept confined in a crate. Whatever her past, it’s clear she has been let down by people. She didn’t even have a name! The kind people at the pound decided to call her Effie. 🩷

Effie is a sweet soul with a long road ahead. We’re going to give her the care, patience and love she needs to feel safe again. We’ll do everything we can to help her heal. ❤️‍🩹

We’ll be certainly to let you know when she will be available for adoption 🙏💚

💚 Mojo is looking for a fresh start—and a home to call his own.

This handsome 3-year-old Catahoula is a big boy at 40kg, with an even bigger heart. Affectionate, playful and clever, Mojo is a gentle giant who’s convinced he’s a lapdog. He has lovely manners, is polite around the home, and is always keen to make his people happy. 🤩

Mojo has learned how good it feels to live in a home, so returning to the shelter, (through no fault of his own), will be a tough change for him. 😢 He’ll be back with his brother Murphy, but what he really needs is a loving family of his own—somewhere he can settle in, share the couch and be part of everyday life. 🐾

Mojo can’t live with cats 🐱 , and he’s selective about his canine friends, so introductions to other dogs will need to be thoughtfully managed. With the right match, this affectionate, good-hearted boy has so much love to give.

🩷 Meet Scarlett, your future best friend! At just 6 months old, this Mastiff cross has a huge heart and plenty of puppy energy.

She loves snuggles, playtime, toys and food—and she’s a quick learner, too. Scarlett is friendly with dogs and kids, and would thrive in a home with another young canine friend to play, explore and grow up with. 🧸 🐶

We’re really hoping to find this sweet girl a loving home of her own. Scarlett is such a sweetheart, and she has so much love to give—she just needs a family ready to welcome her and a doggy friend to share all her fun with. 🤩

❗️The heat is getting too much for our shelter dogs, and Murphy, Bailey, Mojo, Marty and Boofy urgently need foster homes. 🙏 🏡

We were counting on a perimeter fence being built for free so the dogs could spend more time safely outdoors. Sadly, the company that offered to do the work can no longer fit it in, and we’ll now need to raise the funds ourselves. 😢

Each year seems to get hotter, and we’re desperate to give the dogs a safer, cooler and more comfortable environment. For now, a loving foster home could make all the difference for Murphy, Bailey, Marty, Mojo or Boofy. 🐾

Our gorgeous Marty is a happy, loving boy—but shelter life is leaving him sad and frustrated. 😣 He’s longing for a home with a steady routine, plenty of affection and someone who’ll help him feel safe and settled. 🥰

Marty would benefit from ongoing training and patient guidance. When he gets frustrated, he can become a little mouthy, so he’d be best suited to a home with no children or older children, as the only dog, or possibly with a young female puppy following a slow introduction. 🐶🐾

More than anything, Marty just wants a home and someone to love him unconditionally. ♥️ He needs structure, kindness and a person willing to invest time in helping him learn and feel secure.
