100% agree with this.....we are our dog's best advocate and responsible for keeping them out of harms way; whether that be physically or via litigation! Feel free to share............................................................................................................................

After reading of an incident at an off-leash park, I think it’s a timely reminder for everyone about risks of dog parks. Regardless of the breed, this could be any dog and owner, but sadly for us it was a Rottweiler!

In what appears to be an unprovoked situation, a dog has bitten a person at a dog park. Irrelevant if it’s a nip of a bite, contact was made….. This dog has now been seized by the council, pending further investigation.

The injured party is receiving medical treatment for the injures sustained, and I wish her a speedy recovery, and I’m saddened for all parties involved in this scenario.

Just so we’re all clear, I DO NOT recommend dog parks. Not ever!!!

Why expose your dog to a disease hub? Add to that unknown/unpredictable scenarios with heightened arousal, it’s just not worth it! Take your dog for a walk instead 🐾

I don’t recommend dog parks. Not ever. The list of things that can go wrong is so long that it completely outweighs the possible attributes;

🐾🐾🐾Puppy Socialization 101🐾🐾🐾

First of all this video has been a very lonnnnnng time coming: (to give you a bit of an idea Zak-Zak💙 will be turning 9 later this year!)😂😂😂
Sorry puppy man: aka Chris Loverseed of Positive K9 Training it's taken me 'a while'.....but hey I said I would get it done! ;)

This video illustrates just a few of the things we should all be doing with our pups from 8 weeks: ie getting them out and about experiencing the big wide world, imprinting & socialising so as to ensure that they grow up to be well adjusted adult dogs within the community.

The very worst thing we can do is keep them at home until all their puppy vaccinations are completed......that advice is soooo outdated and detrimental to their social development.
Remember: many more dogs are pts with poor temperament than will ever die of parvo......so weigh up the risks......ie avoid dog parks and visit the beach just after high tide for instance.

Thought I would share some pix of our gorgeous Atsy-Rad puppies taken at age 6 weeks.....they have certainly grown a heap since then and are now ready to leave home starting from tomorrow!

Yay! Yesterday TLC for Pets dropped off our first lot of snuffle mats for the puppers❤️💙💛💜💗💎
They will snuffle these mats for the next three weeks before leaving for their new homes, own mat in tow, complete with yummy litter & mumma smells.

YES! It's happened......she finally bled lol!❤❤❤

Atsy came into season after what seems like FOR-EVER and yesterday our bachelorette 'met up with' the gorgeous bachy Rad to consumate their relationship!

A very sad day and such a tremendous loss for the Rottweiler world:
R.I.P Thomas Weber of ' von Turnleberg Rottweilers'.......a kennel that has produced some of the most important working lines to date and can not be under estimated.......truly immortal!

We were so fortunate to have been able to import two dogs directly from Thomas, Petra & Rebekka.
