Meet Gemma
Gemma is the owner and operator of Cognitive Canine Canberra, where she combines her background in social sciences and human services with a strong passion for dog behaviour. She is dedicated to helping people build confidence and meaningful connections with their dogs, using a compassionate, non-judgemental approach that supports both ends of the lead.
A long-time member of the Canberra community, Gemma has called the region home for 35 years. She is mum to Maggie, Ryu and her daughter Addison. Outside of training, you’ll often find her on the trails with her dogs, at a local parkrun, or preparing for her next endurance event—having completed her first marathon at the Bush Capital in 2013.
Meet Liv
Liv brings several years of experience in the animal industry and holds a Certificate II in Animal Care. She has a strong interest in expanding her work into wildlife and conservation. Alongside her two dogs, she cares for her cat and bearded dragon, reflecting her passion for animals of all kinds.
Meet Jennifer
Jennifer has spent most of her life around dogs, particularly large breeds. She recently completed a course in companion animal care to deepen her understanding of canine behaviour and body language. Working through her own dog’s reactivity challenges has given her valuable, hands-on training experience and insight.
