Millie came to see Dr Sarah after her owners noticed her ears were causing her some discomfort 🐾

She was an absolute superstar for her ear check, soaking up plenty of treats, pats, and attention from the team along the way!

✨Did you know? Ear infections are one of the most common reasons dogs visit the vet. Dogs with floppy ears, allergies, or those who love swimming can be more prone to ear problems because moisture and reduced airflow create the perfect environment for yeast and bacteria to grow.

Well done, Millie — we hope your ears are feeling much more comfortable soon! 💕🐶

This very handsome boy is Batchy 🥰

Batchy visited the clinic recently for his desexing procedure and he was such a brave boy!
Batchy handled everything like a champ and made sure to collect plenty of cuddles from our nursing team along the way 🥰
Safe to say, he was a very good boy (and maybe a little bit spoiled!) 🐾

We all know chocolate is a no-go for dogs 🍫🚫… but did you know many of our favourite Easter treats can be just as dangerous for our furry family members?

Our team has put together a list of the most common goodies to keep out of paws’ reach this weekend - because those puppy-dog eyes can be very convincing! 🐈🐶💛 Be sure to store treats safely and avoid sharing, no matter how tempting it may be.

If you’re concerned your pet may have eaten something they shouldn’t in the lead up to our Easter celebrations, please call the clinic on 07 3889 0899 for advice - we’re here to help!

✨Did you know?…✨

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is one of the most common health conditions affecting older cats. The kidneys play an important role in filtering waste from the blood, and when they start to lose function, toxins can build up in the body.

Signs to watch for include:
- Increased drinking and urination
- Weight loss
- Reduced appetite
- Vomiting or nausea
- Lethargy or poor coat condition

Nurse Geri’s cat, Maggie, visited us for her regular blood test to monitor the progression of her CKD. Here she is showing us her cheeky side by poking out her tongue in protest! 😸 To help make her visit as calm and low-stress as possible, Maggie is given pre-visit medication to reduce fear and anxiety during her appointments 💕

If you’ve noticed any changes in your cat’s drinking, appetite, or behaviour, please call our team on 3889 0899 or book online at www.wellpets.com.au to make an appointment 🐾
