Stable favourite “Cricket” (aka Fire Walk, aka Brave Bow) moved on to his new home this weekend, kicking the new partnership off with a 2nd overall at the mackaynorthponyclub queenslandoffthetrack Horse Trials.
We look forward to watching these two get to know each other, and to seeing what they’ll achieve together in the future.

I couldn’t be prouder of this weekend. We were invited to clerk at our local races, and he totally understood the assignment. So long as I didn’t make him go near the barriers - he was pretty adamant that he is definitely retired from racing 🤣 he absolutely took everything in his stride, didn’t bat an ear at the crowds or the galloping hooves, and happily ponied the racehorses from the mounting yard to the barriers and back. A big thanks to Mel for stepping up when our usual clerking partner was out with an injury, and to Ian for the loan of Iron Bark as our second clerk horse - always a privilege to loan such a cool horse. And Harmony for stopping in to help cool our horses between races.

I had the privilege last weekend of once again leading the Mother Goose group around the MNPC cross country course - the photo attached is a throwback to last year's efforts (I don't think I cleared the jumps quite as well this year 🤣).
do a wonderful job putting this class on for every Horse Trials event!

.photography gets all the 📸credit for this glorious pic of our ever-reliable Cricket. Isn't he handsome!?!
Some switched on followers may have already noticed - Cricket is slowly making his way to a new home, with a young girl to love him very much. Lease-to-buy documents are signed, and the pair had their first comp together last weekend. We treated it as a trial run, and an opportunity to get to know each other a little better. Cricket was a good boy, and his new person rode him beautifully - and for an added bonus, they came home with third place for their group!

We allll went for a ride last weekend - so Paris had to tag along also (she reaaaaallly didn’t want to stay home alone!)
