Meet Tonkka!
This little cutie is Tonkka, a 4-month-old Yorkshire Terrier who recently came in for some x-rays after his family noticed he was limping. He was such a brave boy during his visit and handled everything like a champ! 💛

Limping in young pups can be caused by a variety of things — from minor sprains to growing issues — so it’s always best to get it checked out early.

🐾 Meet Tilly! 💚

Say hi to Tilly, our brave 8-year-old Australian Terrier! Tilly was recently in for a lump removal and handled it like a champ. Not only is she managing her diabetes like a pro, but she’s also rocking her green bandana and matching bandages like a true fashion icon. 💚

Meet the team Monday - Hannah

Hannah joined the team at Port Road Vet in February 2025 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Fulfilling a childhood dream to work in a vet clinic, Hannah began her journey in 2022 as a Year 11 student, completing both her Certificate II and III in Animal Care. In 2024, she began full-time studies towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE SA, which she is set to complete in July this year.

Growing up in rural Murray Bridge, Hannah developed a strong interest in livestock. She also has a particular soft spot for cats—thanks to her veterinarian mum, who regularly brought home foster kittens during Hannah’s childhood!

When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find Hannah at home cuddling her two rescue cats, Peanut and Sweety, or out enjoying a ride on her Kawasaki Ninja.
