Happy 15th birthday to Koru (RC Maple Sugar) and to Bailey who lives in Hong Kong. There is the most special spot in my heart for senior dogs and it’s such a privilege to still have a part in their lives. Koru and Bailey share a love of beaches and water! Pearl’s puppies are 3 weeks old today. They are still slumbering in a blissful cocoon and have bellies full of warm milk as Pearl’s milkbar is still fully open. They were not terribly impressed at being taken outside one by one wrapped in a blanket but posed very compliantly. We will try and introduce some food this week but at this stage they want for nothing and are extremely content!

The autumn leaves are clinging on. The puppies had a quick trip outside one by one for photos today. You could say the puppies have sprung to life in the last couple of days- they’ve found little voices, learned to tumble around on unsteady legs, and discovered the joy of food. Food, food, glorious food! You can eat it, sit in it, walk in it, lick it off your litter mates! So many ways to get the full tactile experience- the taste and the feel!! Lenni Lou’s puppies are into it, in all its sticky and glorious mess- they love it! 3 weeks old today!

Two weeks old and eyes full of wonder! It’s a tricky age to get photos of freshly open eyes indoors especially so excuse the soft lighting and focus! The pups are tumbling around the whelping box and pile up together to sleep. We anticipate they will start on puppy food this coming week, so prepare yourself for next week’s photos! Lenni Lou is enjoying a smorgasbord of food- our house continually smells of steak (medium rare) & roast chicken to supplement her nutritionally balanced diet of prime, Proudii, Lenny’s kitchen and Lyka. Eating for 10 can be a challenge for some mums.
