We’re hiring: Senior Sales Assistant

We’re looking for a mature, reliable and practical person to join the Canberra Stockfeeds team in a Senior Sales Assistant role.
This position would suit someone who enjoys customer service, has strong communication skills, and is confident helping lead on the shop floor. We need someone who can take initiative, stay calm when things get busy, support younger or less experienced staff, and help keep the store running smoothly day to day.
The role includes customer service, product advice, sales, stock management, merchandising, order processing, general store operations, and some admin tasks.
The admin component may include helping with customer orders, account enquiries, supplier paperwork, stock records, basic data entry, and general day-to-day business support.
Experience with horses, livestock, poultry, pets, animal health, rural supplies, retail or administration would be highly regarded.
You’ll need to be physically capable of lifting 20–25kg bags regularly, comfortable working in a busy hands-on environment, and available for some weekend work.
A forklift licence would be a bonus, but it’s not a deal breaker for the right person.
