This morning’s setup was a bit of a splash—cue the before photo of me quickly dumping everything onto the table as the rain came pouring down! 🌧️ But don’t worry, the stall is now looking its usual dapper self, ready for you and your pups.

Tinka is struggling with her new medication schedule—it has to be precisely 12 hours apart, and the worst part? No food for an hour before or after! ⏰🥺 That means no sneaky treats, no early breakfasts, and definitely no bedtime snacks. She’s making it very clear that this is not the dapper (princess) lifestyle she signed up for. 🎀🐶

We’re doing our best to keep her distracted (and making up for it with extra cuddles), but let’s just say she’s not impressed. Anyone else’s pup have a strict medication routine that throws their whole day off?

The truth? It’s so much more than just making cute accessories for dogs.

It’s early mornings, late nights, problem-solving, and moments of doubt. It’s the hustle behind every handmade piece, every market stall, every online order.

Did you know I was fired from my last job via an email? ❌

Before starting Tinka & Co, I worked in Disability Support 🧑‍🦽, where I was passionate about helping others. However, in 2021, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered two strokes. 🚨 I was temporarily paralysed on the right side of my body and had to relearn how to walk and talk 🏃‍♂️🗣, and found out I was legally blind 👀 – a challenging and humbling experience that reshaped my perspective on life.

During this time, we adopted Tinka 🐶, a little pup who helped me rediscover my true self and gave me a renewed sense of purpose ❤️. Inspired by my recovery journey, we started Tinka & Co 🐾, turning a new hobby into a small business 💼 that not only helped me with my speech recovery but also gave me an outlet to share stroke awareness 🎗️. I began doing markets 🛍 as a way to improve my speech and have been so grateful for the conversations and friendships I’ve built along the way.

One of the most exciting moments in our journey was when we appeared on TV 📺 promoting Animals as Therapy (Dogs Behaving Very Badly Australia, Season 1: Episode 3), something close to my heart 🐕💖.

I’m now a proud dog dad to Vincent and Tinka 🐾, running my own business with the unwavering love and support of my partner 💑. Embracing my role as a stroke advocate 🎗️, I truly love being my own boss 👨‍💼.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were nominated for Central Coast New Business of the Year 🏆 and selected as a Rocks Stall holder 🛍 – a huge milestone in our journey. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us! 🚀 Thank you all for your support – your belief in us makes everything possible. 🙏

Join Us for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations at The Rocks! ☘️

We’ll be at The Rocks Markets this Saturday, right in the heart of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations! While the big day is Sunday, the festivities will be running all weekend, with The Mercantile’s Street Party on George Street North bringing the Irish spirit to life.

We’re taking Sunday off for a little R&R, so be sure to stop by on Saturday to grab your favorite goodies—including our exclusive dog leads and collars only available at The Rocks!

Depending on the heat, Dan and the dogs might sit this one out—after all, we have to keep our furbaby safe in warm weather.

A Celebration of Milestones: Tinka’s 6th Birthday & 5 Years Since My Stroke 💙🎉

Today is a big day—Tinka is officially six years old, and it also marks five years since my stroke. Two life-changing moments, forever connected.

Tinka came into my life at the perfect time, bringing love, purpose, and a whole lot of sass. She’s more than just a dog—she’s family, my shadow, and a constant reminder of how far I’ve come.

So today, we celebrate her with treats from BeWoofed Pawtisserie & Accessories, extra cuddles, and maybe even a new bandana (or ten). And we also celebrate resilience, growth, and the journey that led to Tinka & Co.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—here’s to many more years of dapper dogs and second chances!
