We’re sorry there’s no Mother’s Day sale from us — we’re all a little sombre over here today. 💜
For those who don’t know, I lost my beautiful soul dog Cooper late last year. He was my little muse — the idea behind this business, by my side through every late night, tough moments & wine, and the one who tested every prototype and picked the winning model.
When the time came for the website photo shoot, lethargic and tired, he still showed up for me one last time. Three days later, he was gone. My life was left shattered and forever changed.
I took some time off, scattered his ashes with family over Christmas, and returned with a new sense of purpose — to carry on his legacy. Our mission to help other dogs and their humans needed to continue.
And so I did. While navigating excruciating grief, I launched Cooper & Co. in March this year.
Sitting here without him on Mother’s Day stings. A lot. But knowing we’ve helped bring even just a little more ease and comfort to hundreds of pups and fur parents keeps me going. I miss him every day, but I feel he is still with me. When we get a beautiful review, I turn to the sky and say “we did it buddy, we helped another one” — and I hope he hears that.
So, Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummas out there 💜 The fur mums, the human mums, the mummas of heavenly pups like me, Grand-fur-mums and every single support person that helps us get through — it certainly takes a village. - Susan
