Meet Charlie, our most recent work experience student from ! He has spent the past two weeks with the team as he is hoping to become a vet in the future. Charlie has been a pleasure to have in the clinic, and we hope he got to have a good glimpse at what life behind the scenes in a vet clinic is really like. Let’s all take a moment to appreciate Piper’s incredible weight loss! 👏🏻

Piper first came to us last November for her annual vaccines and weighed in at 7.8kg. As an elderly girl with elbow dysplasia she was having trouble getting around and was less active than she had been previously, which was contributing to her weight gain. Her wonderful owners put her on a strict diet, and this year she weighed in at 5.8kg, having lost a whopping 2kg! Swipe for a picture of her being a cute little potato pre-weight loss! 🥔

It can be particularly hard for owners to put their cats on a diet, as they can become extremely vocal and needy when they are hungry, so we think this is in incredible effort 👏🏻 If your cat is carrying a little extra weight from last Christmas, why not book in for a chat with on of our nurses, who can help work out a weight loss plan for your pet?
