We’ve got a few big projects in the pipeline at Raba Urban Farm!
To prepare, our boys Mason, Duke and Jack are taking a little holiday up on Springbrook Mountain while we give their paddocks a bit of a facelift (and a new fence).
While they’re up there grazing, we’ll be working away. Don’t worry though, they’ll be back and ready for some chin scratches real soon.

Have you considered turning your love of nature into a career?
The Raba Urban Farm Workskills Traineeship may be for you.
As part of this fully paid 22 week traineeship, participants will complete a Cert I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management as well as First Aid Certificate, Chemicals Certificate, Chainsaw Certificate and White Card.
Not to mention ongoing support upon completion.

An information session will be held at TAFE Robina Yugambeh Theatre on Thursday, 18 April at 11:30am.

Fully Paid 22 week Full Time Traineeships
Work Skills Traineeships offer Queenslanders employment for up to six months on public works, community, hospitality, retail and environmental projects.
Eligibility:
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Persons
Youth 15-24
Women returning to work

As part of this project participants undertake AHC10120 Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management with the Registered Training Organisation Yalga Binbi (RTO: 31116)
Participants will also get a First Aid Certificate, Chemicals Certificate, Chainsaw Certificate and White Card at no charge to participants.
When you join Ra.ba Farm’s Traineeship you will be supported to learn and supported to get a job when you finish.

Project starts on the 6th May.

What a wild start to the year! ⛈️

First and foremost (and a little late), Happy New Year! 🥳 We hope everyone is safe, dry and healthy.

We have had a lot of you reach out to check on the animals. They are all safe! The chickens 🐓 rode out the storms from their perches and the cows 🐄 are having a little vacation. They will be away for a little while so we can make the necessary repairs and clean up their paddocks. They’re pretty fascinated with their new temporary neighbours 🐎

Luckily the gardens withstood the floods as well. We’ll call that a win for the syntropic system!

While we’ve got a bit of work to do to clean up, we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Raba Urban Farm in 2024.

The big guy will be visiting Raba Urban Farm on Sunday, 10 December from 3-5pm.

Bring the family down for a photo and some fun. Don’t forget your Christmas list!

Santa’s elves will also be on hand for some christmas crafts and animal feeding.

Today we are celebrating Darryl 🌱

Those of you who have been visiting Raba Urban Farm for a while will surely have come in contact with our very own Darryl and his pup Archie.

Darryl is an absolute force to be reckoned with. He always has a smile on his face and is ready for a chat.

On behalf of all of us at Raba Urban Farm, we’d like to wish Darryl and his lovely wife Peg a very happy 50th wedding anniversary.

Thank you, Darryl, for your friendship, guidance and quick with over the years.
