With the sugar content/nutritional value fluctuating in the paddocks with the constant changes in weather, it is import to remember to LOOK UNDER THE RUGS! Make sure you’re looking to see what kind of body condition your horse has. It’s very easy to not assess, and then spring comes and they are either much fatter or much thinner than you intended!

It’s VERY important that mini’s/ponies don’t go off feed! They are quite prone to a condition called “hyperlipemia” which can progress to liver damage AND is potentially fatal. Helping this little gal feel better. The old adage is “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink,” same goes with feed!
