Dogs digging.

Morning everyone, first thing, thank you to everyone on my page and your fantastic comments, also welcome to all my new clients, stand by for some videos and pic's of some very excited dogs lol.

Okay this morning I want to address a subject that I have been asked quite alot about. How do I stop my dog from digging, firstly let me just say all dogs dig from time to time, can you stop this, simple answer no. But you can limit the damage and redirect this behaviour. Dogs dig for a number of reasons, boredom, excitement, something smells nice to them.

The trick is to offer an alternative place, a space in your yard, that can be their digging area, small little sand pit, teach and encourage them this is the area to dig, also have more toy's and thing's your dog love's in the yard, have toy's that can have food in them, so they focus on retrieving the food and stimulating their mind.

Aslo plenty of exercise, so when left in the yard they are not so full of beans.
Once you have this all in place, you can get a deterrent, such as a citrus spray and cover the area that you know were your dog digs.

Okay so, next stage of Rambo training, working on his aggressive side by placing him with a more dominant dog, Rambo meet, rocket, lol, Rocket is a 7 year old Sheppard who doesn't take well to silly behaviour, he is a great pack teacher, who will put any youngster in his place, as Rambo found out and fitted into the pecking order very quickly haha.

Once that was established we started some lead work and sit commands with a silent lead. A silent lead, is a great tool, for dogs who have been mistreated and can't have too much pressure placed on them.

As you can see, very little conflict and no I didn't get bitten this time haha.

And yes that's the standard dog training foot wear haha, good old Japanese safety boots.

Hi, I’m Mac and I’m on the lookout for my forever family!
I’m still young and learning, but I already know how to sit, head to my crate for bedtime, and wait politely when my humans go in and out of doors. I’m toilet trained too — though sometimes I need a little reminder if I’m having too much fun!
I’ll need a family that’s happy to keep helping me with my training — I’m still working on things like “stay” and “lay down.” But the good news? I’m super food motivated, so training me is pretty easy!

I love playing with other pups and my humans. Toys are awesome (even if I accidentally destroy them)! I’m great in the car and behave like a champ on road trips.

But my favourite thing in the world? Cuddling up with my people and showering them with love.

My foster family says I’ve got a funky, fun personality and I’m a total goofball who keeps them smiling every day.

Whilst most the world was fast asleep PD RIGGS was out there keeping us safe. In the early hours of this morning PD RIGGS and handler attended reports of a violent assault in . PD RIGGS was first on scene, but seeing the police the suspect was on his toes and fled from from the scene. PD RIGGS was straight to task detaining the run away who was subsequently arrested for several offences including assault, damage, racially aggravated public order. 👮

Morning everyone. Yes I know I have been quiet for some time. It has been a very interesting last 12 months, but I won't bore you with that lol. That being said, I am back and have added to my training. I have started to take on dogs that have an extreme aggressive nature, mostly due to no fault of their own. Some that have a little problems with their hamster up stairs haha. So if you know anyone who needs this service or a dog that needs saving, please let me know.

Okay guys meet Rambo, haha yes you heard it Rambo lol, so the owner of this little fellow reached out. Rambo is a 14 month Mal, unfortunately was miss treated most of his life and was looking like being put down. He was extremely aggressive, trust issues and would attack when had compulsion and pressure placed on him. No training what so ever, could not even sit on command. I haven't posted any previous pictures or videos of him due to the extreme aggressive nature and quite a few bites lol. I have been working with him fulltime for the last 3 weeks, each day the trust and bond has improved, to the point we have got him to sit and trust me enough to start some lite fun training with him. He has gone from a total out of control dangerous dog, no fault of his own, to a loving excited pup. Still a long way to go, put happy to say we have safed another one.

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is well. So it has been a busy year, unfortunately that being said, I have had to put some training on hold, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. So anyone who wishes to train or knows someone who is interested in having their K9 trained, please let me know.

Well here we go again! The start to another big year. I'd like to take this moment to congratulate all of my clients and their dogs that have reached that point in training where they can continue on their own.

Well done guy's, it's been a honour to work with you and I'm amazed at just how far each of you have come. Keep it up!

So in saying that, we now have a few new clients and their dogs starting with us! Keep a eye out for posts and follow their progress.

Also just to let everyone know we will be starting a dog awareness training for little kids this year. This will consist of involving your children with the training of your dog, showing them the right and wrong ways to be around your dog and showing them way's to protect themselves against excited dogs. By teaching them these simple tips, it will be enough to give your child the confidence to be around your dog as well as being able to protect themselves.

So if anyone is interested in this type of training, please do get in contact.
