My first pitcher plant photo of 2025, the White Topped Pitcher Plants (Sarracenia Leucophylla) have some of the most beautiful red blooms I've ever seen. But even the (carnivorous) part of the plant is beautiful! In this picture you can see the pitchers standing tall with their white and red leaves that look like open mouths just waiting for an insect (hopefully a mosquito!) to slip and fall in to to be digested by the plant and provide the nutrients the plant needs that they can't get from the poor soil they grow in.
