Zahara is a gorgeous, 3 month old, medium / long haired, ginger and white kitten, with heterachromia, (2 different coloured eyes).

She came to me, (her foster mum), as a feisty little one, not feral, just scared. She was part of a group of community cats we took in recently. Probably the youngest one that we rescued. She was never aggressive, but lacking in confidence and way out of her comfort zone.

She has been in my home for just over 2 weeks now, and we have made great progress. From hiding under the bed every time I entered the room, to now coming to me. She is still very wary, but is improving day by day. I have even begun to get lot of purring, as she snuggles on my knee.

She is very food motivated, and I have used that to help gain her trust.

Zahara will require a new home that is very aware of her current needs, and people that are willing to work with her, and give her the time and space to burrow her way into your hearts. She will not be the perfect kitten on day 1, but, I have no doubt that she will soon realise that she is in a safe and loving home, and settle fairly quickly.

I’m Skittles. My foster parents named me this because I am sweet like candy. I absolutely love playing with people and am always the first one out of my brothers and sister to come up and say hello. I also love falling asleep in your arms and getting chin scratches.

My favourite hobbies include:
- wrestling with my brothers and sisters
- eating pet treats
- playing with pet wands, crinkly toys, and my cat scratcher
- cuddling of a night in bed with you and snuggling and purring 😴

Did I mention I am a MASSIVE cuddle bum? I love running up when you get home and letting you know how much I love you

I have a few other foster sisters, and I get along with them really well, so I would be great with another friend. I have loved growing up and playing with my other foster siblings - Parkway and James Bond.

Today we were really saddened to learn of the passing of one of our own.
Karen has been with Claws n Paws for the past 4 or so years. In the last 12 months she had not had great health but we were shocked today to hear that a few days ago she passed away.
Karen was always keen to help and loved to man the BBQ at adoption days. She loved her animals and the kittens she fostered were always super cuddlers. Karen was not only a a foster carer but served a time as our secretary for a few years. Karen will be sadly missed.

A few of our committee will attend the funeral as a representative of the group.

Our thoughts are with her friends, family and pets she left behind.

Hey there 👋

My name is Grace and I am on the lookout for my very own forever home! My kittens and I were cold and shivering all alone on the streets in winter and some super nice people took us in ❄️

Straight away, I was giving them head butts and purrs and running around the house so, so thankful for being rescued! My little babies have all grown up so now it’s my turn to be showered with love and attention. I have definitely discovered how to be a kitten again and I absolutely LOVE playtime - I love playing in my tunnel, with my wands and chasing balls around the house!

I absolutely adore people and would just love to settle into a home where I can spend my days lazing around in the sun. I have been such a good mum to my babies but I now just want to be able to relax and only worry about me 💜

I hope you can open up your hearts to a kitty who has had it rough, but can show you so much playfulness, love and affection. It’s my time to be a kitten now 🧸

We raise and care for our rescue animals in our own loving homes. We have volunteer foster carers all over the Central Coast giving up their time, couches and beds to rescue these beautiful animals.
