Say hello to Dr Ruby! 🐾💚

Joining the team in 2024, Dr Ruby grew up on cattle properties across North West Queensland and has always had a love for caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. After completing multiple placements with us during her Veterinary degree, she quickly became part of the Maraboon Vet Surgery family, so returning after graduating from James Cook University was an easy decision!

Dr Ruby loves the relaxed rural lifestyle Emerald has to offer and has a real passion for surgery, orthopedics and preventative medicine. When she’s not helping your furry friends feel their best, you’ll probably find her sewing… she can even make her own scrubs! 🪡✨

We’re so lucky to have Dr Ruby as part of our team, and we know our clients and patients love her just as much as we do! 🐶🐱🐴

• Only 1 in 4 weekend shifts (Saturday mornings and on call)
• Diverse caseload including surgery, emergencies, consults & diagnostics

• $25–$35/hr depending on experience

Your role will include:
• Running nurse consults and assisting veterinarians

• General nursing and hospital operations

We’re looking for someone compassionate, organised, adaptable and passionate about animal care. Cert II or IV in Veterinary Nursing/Animal Care (or equivalent experience in the animal industry) will be highly regarded.

🥭 PET OF THE WEEK - MANGO 🥭

Mango has definitely made herself popular with the team here at Maraboon Vet 💛

She recently had surgery and came back in this week for her final post-op checkup. She’s been such a lovely patient through it all and is recovering beautifully.

We always love seeing Mango and giving her lots of cuddles!

Maggie came in to see us for her annual vaccinations and was the bravest girl from start to finish! She handled all her checks and needles like a total champ and soaked up plenty of love from the team along the way 🦴🐶
