Here's a collection of jewellery I made a while back, created by combining photography, glass domes and individually constructed necklaces, brooches and pins.
These macro photographs display dandelion seeds, ready to blow into the wind with fresh wishes.
The process began with locating dandelions in seed in the garden, then photographing them using a macro lens and fill flash. Processing was next, using Lightroom and then Photoshop, to adjust the size of the final images to fit the glass domes precisely. After this was printing onto the smooth photo paper, attaching the glass domes onto the images with Diamond Glaze and separating and trimming each one. Next stage- fusing the photos and glass domes to the bezel trays securely. Lastly, constructing the chain and clasp to suit the pendants and photographing the finished product, ready to display at Montsalvat's Long Gallery in a group show. Phew! Hope you enjoyed the recollection of this journey!

I've been looking through the archives tonight, wondering what would capture my attention. This, certainly has. A shot from last year, taken on Hume Weir, looking across the water at the Golden Hour. Incredible colours, beautiful scenery, enhanced by processing in Lightroom. Sending peace to all.
