🐾 Woof! It’s me, Ryker!

I had the BEST afternoon running over the pile—nose in the wind, paws kicking up dust, and my human calling out the start of the world’s greatest game: hide and seek! There’s nothing like the thrill of searching for hidden friends (or sneaky treats) and bounding back, tail wagging, for belly rubs and high fives.

Every session is a new adventure, and today’s was pure joy. Here’s to more sniffing, searching, and playing in the sunshine! ☀️

Washington State Task Force has been activated by FEMA to assist with search and rescue efforts following severe flooding in Texas.

A specialized four-person team - three K-9 teams and a search team manager - is departing Friday evening. The team includes personnel from Pierce County Sheriff's Office and Department of Emergency Management. They will focus on physical searches and emergency medical care and are prepared for a 14-day deployment.

With more than 210 highly trained members, WA-TF1 includes members from fire departments, law enforcement, and public and private agencies across Washington, Idaho and Oregon. The task force can mobilize and deploy within six hours of activation and has responded to numerous major disasters, including the 2023 Maui wildfires. Read more here: https://bit.ly/40cKd5X

Hey hooman friends, Ryker here! 🐾

Last week was a real nose workout—I was on a mission to sniff out those sneaky ants! 🐜 I covered so much ground, I’m pretty sure I could’ve found every crumb in the territory. But just as I was getting into my detective groove, Mum said I had to “share the love” with my bro and sis. Can you believe it? I had to let them help… which ALSO meant sharing the treats. The injustice!

Don’t worry, I made sure to supervise their sniffs and double-check for any missed snacks. Teamwork is ruff, but someone’s gotta do it. At least we all got belly rubs at the end (but I totally deserved an extra one).

Lesson learned: sniffing is more fun with friends—even if you have to split the rewards. 🦴
