Despite Pixies VERY unimpressed face, it is very exciting announcing our new hydraulic lift bath! Drop dead gorgeous Fred (Newfoundland) checked it out this morning and thought it was pretty good! As I’m sure you can all understand. Giant breeds are exactly what they are, giant breeds. Our pricing for giant breeds has changed. Our giant breed pricing has now increased to $200. We’re finding our giant breeds coats are changing which means we need a longer session with them to ensure we aren’t rushing and they’re getting all the attention they need. Thank you for understand as the bigger the dog the more time we need to spend with them grooming.

We’re bonkers for Borders! As an owner of Border Collies we have a huge appreciation for this breed. They’re smart, loyal and a bundle of energy! With this means beach walks, swimming in creeks, dams or adventures through a forest! All which requires grooming after. Removing excess salt and sand from the beach or if your dogs are like ours they bring back half the forest with sticks or prickles in their fur. We can help remove all of that to leave them clean and smelling fresh after an awesome adventure! We also book out roughly a week in advance so this means no huge waiting times for your baby to be pampered. Give us a call to organise your fur baby an appointment

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again! Matting, is NOT always a sign of neglect. It doesn’t mean the dogs not cared for or neglected. It happens! High friction areas like armpit, genitalia and between the dogs thighs are common areas for matting and can get tangled easily. This doesn’t mean that the dogs uncared for it just means that you need to brush more often! Going over your dog with just a slicker/pin brush isn’t always effective. Some coats need thorough combing to get right down to the skin and remove the excess fur! We don’t judge you if you bring in your dog with matting. That’s what we are here for. We’re here to help! We can show you the best way to maintain your dogs coat at home between grooms and put you on a schedule that works for you!

How cute are these precious babies! All coming in for a groom and a freshen up! Angel has issues with her ACL which means standing for her is hard. During her groom we work at the pace the dog is comfortable and if this means that most of it is done while sitting, no worries! Your dogs comfort is our top priority

It’s all smiles once these babies have their warm bath! Most of our clients are on a 4-6 week schedule depending on your dogs coat. If they have a double coat like Ralf or even a tight curly coat like a poodle they will require more frequent brushing to prevent matting. We can put you on a schedule that works for both you and your dogs! Leave the hard work to us and let us remind you when your dog is due for its grooming session.

Unfortunately we have had some issues with payment and vaccination policy as of late, we now need to make this post as we have had to make a couple changes to the way we run our business.

Payments:
Payments will be due for everyone at the end of their groom. This will not be negotiable. Previously we have been lenient with payment being made the night of, the next day, before the next groom or at the end of the week. Unfortunately, this has proven in myself chasing payments up which I do not feel comfortable doing as we are all feeling the pinch of the cost of living. We understand that grooming can be on the expensive side for some, we are flexible to your dogs needs and yours also. We can provide tools and tips to maintaining your dogs coat at home to stretch out the length between grooms.

Vaccinations:
We require all clients to be fully vaccinated unless medically not required in which case we ask forr a certification from your vet stating this. This is something we will not budge on; we do however respect your right to choose whether to vaccinate your dog or not. Upon your first/next visit with us we will require proof of vaccination, if proof of vaccination is not presented in some way, we will not take your dog back for grooming. This will come strictly into effect as of the 1/6/2025 and we will be lenient while our existing clients learn our new policy.

The minimum age we take puppies in for grooming is 12 weeks as this is when they usually have their second vaccination. This is also per the Dogs SA rules for Exhibitions of puppies which is what we live by. Vaccinations also take between 1-2 weeks to fully take effect.

ALL our personal dogs are up to date with vaccinations and will continue to be so. We have clients that are coming from as far as Gawler, Goolwa, Victor Harbour, and everything in between. Some are coming from areas that Parvo Virus is frequent and to protect your dogs from these vaccinations are required. Please be understanding of why we have these policies in place. We will not tolerate being abused due to difference of opinion this will result in being permanently black listed from our grooming business.

Incase you haven’t worked it out, we’re Golden Retriever biased!!! After our Humphrey “B Bear” passed over 10 years ago at 12.5 years old. I’ve sworn to getting another. Until that day I’m going to pour my heart and love into all your babies! Here’s just some of the BEAUTIFUL babies I’ve been privileged to meet.
