- Kalbarri - Monkey Mia - Denham - 14 Mile - Winderbandi - North Lefroy - Exmouth.
A month slowly exploring this region was 🙌🙌.
We found this region particularly dog friendly. However, outside of the towns/campsites, there are warning signs up for 1080 baits and dingos roaming.
Our highlights:
- Kalbarri ✨️ We stayed at Tasman Holiday Park and it was a perfect short stroll to town, the pelican feeding and the beach.
- Monkey Mia ✨️ RAC resort is dog friendly, on the brach but not in the dolphin feeding area. The bar is dognfriendly in the outdoor area, too, with beautiful ocean (and dolphin!) views.
Denham ✨️ Tasman Holiday Park was a massive, clean, and tidy park. The ocean is very shallow, however, so you have to go out a while for a swim. The cafe is dog friendly, and the pies at the bakery are 👌 The aquarium is dogs on leash and worth a look 🦈🐟🐠 And the playground is pretty cool too. We loved the vibe of this sleepy fishing town.
14 Mile/ The Ridge ✨️ A coastal off-grid campsite located south of Coral Bay on the Waroora Coast. All bookings through parkstaywa.com.au. Bookings open 6 months in advance, and we had no booking but snagged a 3 night stay at the RIdge 1 night prior. Check for cancellations! The Ridge is connected to 14 Mile but higher on the dunes, still with ocean views.
Winderbandi ✨️ Wow, we got lucky snagging site 35, another last-minute cancellation that came available the day before! It is so special to have our dog here with us 🐶
North Lefroy ✨️ If you land site 1-21, you'll be in paradise 🙌 Big spacious sites, site 19 was the size of a footy field. We did see a very skinny dingo passing through
Exmouth ✨️ We stayed at the popular RAC caravan park, and it was massiveee! However Ningaloo Caravan Park was a closer walk town, so I think next time we'd stay here. Both caravan parks are dog friendly. There is a cool waterpark in town for the littleys.
