On the weekend, Donald and I headed to the lovely LEGS/TDI Official Dressage Day, out at Gatton 🐴☀️

To be completely honest, it wasn’t one of those picture-perfect competition days. Donald decided he had a few ideas of his own and left me carrying most of the weight for the team 🤦🏼‍♀️

The result? Tension and distraction when Donald’s ideas did not line up with the test… 🫣

But that’s horses, that’s sport, and that’s real life❗️

This day was one of those challenging experiences — the ones no one usually posts about. We got the good, the bad, and definitely a little of the uglyyyy 🤗

Despite the hurdles and body aches today, Donald and I still managed to complete both tests, recieving unfortunate scores that reflected the tension.

We finished with a 1st 🥇 and a 2nd 🥈 in the Open Prelim, and while those results might sound amazing, I know we’re capable of better performances, which would reflect better scores!

One off day doesn’t define a partnership, It’s how you regroup, refocus, and come back stronger that matters most 💪🏼✨ Now it’s time to, reset, and lock in on the next goal 🔥

Life is about moments. The ones that shape us, challenge us, and remind us who we are, but here’s the truth;

The best moments in life aren’t the ones we wait for, they’re the ones we create ✨

For the past four years, I’ve been waiting… waiting for life to feel normal again after a horse riding accident that left me battling injuries and, for a long time, resentment. It is a gruelling road, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Sometimes life changes your plans in ways you never imagined.

Even the most determined people, whether in sport, career, or personal goals, will face a moment where the path they dreamed of as a kid suddenly looks very different. The dreams you once wrote about might need to evolve. But that doesn’t mean the story ends there.

Life has a plan for all of us, even when we can’t see it yet.

And, what I’ve learned through this journey is that waiting for the “right moment” can keep you stuck. The real magic happens when you decide to create the moments instead ✨

I know how heavy life can feel when you’re facing challenges. It’s easy to feel alone, stressed, or uncertain about what comes next. But if there’s one thing I encourage you to do, it’s this;

Find where your joy lives, and create more moments around it 🤩

For me, that joy is right here in this video… my first real ride in over four years 🐎

It may seem small to some, but to me it represents resilience, patience, healing, and the courage to try again 🫶🏼

HPS Sexton aka Saxon is a gorgeous warmblood gelding with 3 very expressive paces, he stands somewhere over 17hh and is going on 11yrs. He is ACE Registered and is very well bred, having Sandro Hit on his dads side. He is COLD BACKED (Does not have kissing spine - I have X-rays) he warms out of it, and when in full work you wouldn’t know it. Will only be sold to a knowledgeable home due to this! He has no nasties whatsoever is a really kind natured horse that can easily be misunderstood by inexperienced people because of his sensitivity. Would not be up for sale if I hadn’t broke myself!
Saxon hasn’t been worked in 6months, he is in fat no muscle paddock condition and no I will not ride him for you to view as I have an injury.
What you see is what you get, hence he is $4000
