Brushed your curly-coated dog… but did you check with the comb?

Here’s the between-groom step I don’t skip:
• Work gently in small sections, using a brush suited to your dog’s coat.
• Follow with a steel grooming comb to check the same section — not just the fluffy surface.
• If it catches firmly, a knot won’t ease or your dog is uncomfortable, stop. Don’t pull harder.

Ask your groomer for help with mats or tool fit; ask a vet about sore, inflamed or injured skin.
