Three very different personalities, one purrfect household 💛🐾

Meet Major, Marshal & Scout — my latest trio of characters keeping me company while house sitting this last month, and I can’t believe it’s gone so quickly! 🏡🐱

🐱Marshal is the happy-go-lucky orange boy who lights up every room he walks into ☀️ Confident, chatty and full of purrs — there’s never a dull moment with this sunshine soul!

🐈‍⬛Major is the quiet, mysterious type… the kind of cat who knows exactly how to get what he wants. One look from those manipulative eyes and suddenly you’re opening the churus again 🫣🤭

🐈And then there’s sweet Scout — the clever, cautious girl who takes her time to trust. She loves her food, keeps a close eye on everything, and when she decides you’re worthy… she’ll come in for her well-earned treats and zoomies with her brothers💕

Together they balance each other perfectly — the bold, the aloof, and the cautious. It’s been such a joy caring for them, learning their quirks, and watching their little personalities shine ✨

These are the moments I love most about cat sitting — every home, every cat, every bond is one of a kind 🩶

Cats can’t taste sweetness — they lack the specific taste receptors for it. Unlike humans and many other animals, their taste buds don’t respond to sugary flavors.

This is because cats are obligate carnivores, meaning their diet is entirely based on meat. Evolution simply didn’t give them a reason to crave sweet things.

So while you might enjoy dessert, your cat genuinely has no idea what the fuss is about, though they might want a lick of that dairy!

Interestingly, adult cats rarely meow at each other — they mostly use this sound to communicate with humans. It’s one of the many ways they’ve adapted to live closely alongside us.
