🍩 Meet Donut — Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Cat 🕷️🐈‍⬛

Donut is a beautiful black boy with the sweetest little white dot on his chest — and apparently, a secret identity.

After being desexed, most cats would spend their first night quietly recovering. Donut had other plans. This boy fully believed he was Spider-Man, climbing his way around as though his post-op instructions were merely suggestions. 😂

And honestly? Not much has changed.

Donut loves heights, climbing and finding the best vantage point in the room to see. A tall cat tree, shelves and plenty of vertical adventures would be his idea of heaven.

Underneath his superhero alter ego, though, is a gentle boy who is still learning something very important: people aren't as scary as they seem, and they can be safe ❤️

Donut needs a patient, understanding home that won't expect him to be brave overnight. He needs someone willing to give him the time and space to come out of his shell at his own pace and discover just how wonderful being loved can be.

Living alongside his more confident brothers has meant Donut hasn't always had the opportunity to truly blossom on his own. We would love to see him in a home where he gets his chance to shine — where every little step forward is celebrated and he can build confidence without being overshadowed.

There is a cheeky, curious, adventurous little Spider-Cat hiding behind those nerves, and we can't wait to see who Donut becomes when he finally feels completely safe.

They support many needy people and causes- including animals. Their kindness in opening The Trading Post also supports Canowindra Community Cat Care and The Centre for Kindness to Animals.
We have an incredible array of high end clothes- and another smaller building where you can fill a large bag- for only $10. Some brand new- some pre- loved, Ladies summer sandles, children and babies clothes, boys and men's clothes, DVDs, CDs, antiques, art, jewellery- too many items to list..

For all the wonderful cat lovers that follow me or read my posts- I apologize for so few updates of late - I've shared a little bit- other Rescues cats or kittens needing adoptions, or donations to help sick or injured cats etc, but my own stuff has taken a back seat for a while now- due to a nasty fall the other month... Someone young I suspect - had thrown large pieces of citrus peel on the pavement around a few streets I frequent, and though I dodged them for a week, late one night whilst feeding the homeless kitties, I missed seeing one, and my right leg went from under me, and all my weight landed on my left knee... I hobbled around feeding the kitties in agony, and continued hobbling for weeks. At last my knee is getting better - but something is very wrong with my back now, something I've always had to be so careful about... So despite visiting several professional massage therapists, I'm still in a lot of pain, have trouble walking, and can barely sleep or cope at all...
Anyway suffice to say I never got around to posting the AWESOME NEWS that at last Canowindra Community Cat Care has a headquarters - and the Centre for Kindness to Animals is here at last!!
I got my photo taken and a story was on the front page of the local newspaper - the Canowindra News (hate my pic being taken- thank goodness it was a bit far away lol!)
I/we are located at The Trading Post- a lovely old building at 50 Ferguson street here in Canowindra. We have a lovely Shop- an "Op Shop with more" - antiques, new stuff, pre loved stuff, pictures, kitchen things, clothing- mostly name brands- just too much to mention.
We also have a gorgeous array of raised garden planters, bird houses - and soon lots of plants. Another building outside has fantastic clothing bargains, some pre loved, some still brand new with the label attached, DVDs and shoes for adults and children. In that section you can fill a bag- for only $10. This section contributes directly to help needy cats and kittens. We have a lovely garden and courtyard - seating under trees- and a "Sausage sizzle Saturday" each week- with a can of drink is only a $5 donation. We are of course pet friendly, so folks love to bring their dog for an outing too. I should have posted this great development ages ago, but was in just too much pain - and my section therefore was very slow to develop, unlike the shop that looked amazing so quickly... Cowra Community Enterprise is who I must thank- their big building in Cowra is well known, and they decided to open a branch here too, so their support and initiative made this all happen. Volunteers are most welcome, and if you love animals- you'll be at home here!

🌸 MEET LIORA — A LITTLE LOVEBUG READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🌸

Liora’s story began at a social housing property, where she, her siblings and their mum were not receiving the care they needed. A regional rescue in Junee stepped in to help, and Liora came to TACC Rescue to continue her journey towards a safe and happy future.

Despite her difficult beginning, Liora is the sweetest little girl. She adores cuddles, gentle attention and being close to her people. 💕

Liora would love to be your one-and-only kitten, but she could also be happy sharing her home with one well-matched feline friend. She isn’t looking for a busy cat household, just somewhere calm, loving and completely her own.
