Miss Luna waiting patiently for her forever home ❤️

Luna is a sweet little girl who has her heart set on loving someone as much as they love her.

Luna is around 3 years old and is a Rottweiler x staffy (she’s around medium sized).
She loves to play in the yard, lay on the couch and spend quality time with her humans.

When Luna gets excited she does grab your hand and will give little gentle nibs as if to say ‘cmon, let’s play’.

Luna would suit someone who can provide her love, patience and affection.
She would be suited to a home with children who could spend the afternoons playing ball or talk her for walks around the block.

Our beautiful big gentle giant, Norman is settling into his foster home very nicely 🥰

He’s spent the last few days playing with doggy friends, splashing at the beach and enjoying pup cups!

Norman may be a mini horse, but his brain is around the size of a pea! 🤪 He is a goofy, happy and loveable man.

Norman will be available for adoption over the next week!

Our Paint, Pot and Plant was a wonderful day 🌷

Thank you to all the ladies that attended today.
We had a wonderful day and enjoyed chatting and painting with you all.

Out little paint and sips aren’t anything too fancy, but with good food, company and some laughter, it really is a special day! 🥰🐶

We raised just under $400 which is an amazing contribution to our vet work 🥹

The update you have all been waiting for ❤️❤️

This morning one of our directors Corina went down to the pound to treat Elsie and Murphy, start them on some good food, medicine and give them a medicated bath.

Here we have some before and afters of the two gorgeous dogs!

Corina is a mum to a beautiful 3 month old boy and has still found time to dedicate her time, efforts and love to the animals that need it.
In fact, she will be heading to the pound again tomorrow to meet with the animal management team (on their day off) and provide training and education around skin conditions such as Murphy and Elsie.

Animal management have also sourced a mattress for Murphy and Elsie to lay on and be comfortable until they fly into Cairns.

We are beyond thankful to everyone who donated, sent messages and offered to foster. We could not have saved them without you.

Corina, you are an inspiration. We are completely in awe of you. Thank you for all that you do.

Murphy and Elsie, welcome to the family. We love you so much already, and cannot wait to watch you thrive ❤️

WARNING: DISTRESSING IMAGES

We don’t write these posts to anger people, and we know these images are distressing and extremely upsetting.

But for us, this is our life. This is what we see far too often.
We won’t stop sharing, we won’t stop fighting for them and we won’t stop being their voice.

After we got home from visiting Murphy and providing treatment, we were contacted by the pound about another girl, who we have named Elsie.

Elsie is one of the worst cases we have seen for mange. Her and Murphy have been neglected, forgotten about discarded because of the way they look.. all because the people they relied on didn’t care enough.

Elsie’s flights will be booked tomorrow and she will be flying out early next week.

We asked for funding for Murphy so we won’t ask again for Elsie - but what we do need is a foster carer.
We need someone who can provide love, take her to the vet and ensure that she is looked after properly.

We are doing our best to assist, and we will not tolerate racism, or people telling directing their anger toward us.

Join us in saving Murphy 🤎

Murphy was picked up today by local animal management, from his house in a remote community. They no longer wanted him due to his horrific skin condition (which has clearly been going on for a long time and preventable with parasite prevention). The animal management team believed due to his very poor condition, the only humane thing to do would put Murphy to sleep. Before they made the decision to put him to sleep, they wanted us to meet him. And my gosh, he is the most gentle boy who despite being in so much pain, leant into the hand we reached out to pat him for some affection. Now we know Murphy, we can't let him go.

We have started him on some treatment with our very limited supplies we have in community but in reality, we can only do so much here for such a serious case of mange. In this state, he is extremely susceptible to infection with his broken skin, sunburn and due to his age, it is likely he is also heartworm positive. Murphy is also half the weight he should be - he is a large breed, we suspect either Bull Arab or Dane cross. Murphy will need some serious TLC from our vets and a safe foster home in Cairns to recover.

WHAT WE NEED TO SAVE MURPHY 👇

- Raise money for his flights 🛩️ and vet 🏥treatment (our previous quotes have been roughly $300 per 10kg in weight - pending a quote from Dogtainers)
- An experienced foster carer for his recovery
- A foster home that is calm and safe. Murphy lived with other dogs but we think the ability to separate pets or a home without pets would be best just for his recovery period
