We believe people in Cairns can rally together and make a difference. Become the voice for the voiceless. You can help by doing a little... or a lot! Cairns Animal Action Team C.A.A.T is not a vegan or vegetarian organisation. Just as we respect the choices of people who don’t consume meat or other animal products, we also respect those individuals who do choose to do so. We acknowledge that one w

ay of reducing the suffering of animals in livestock production systems is by not purchasing products that are sourced from farm animals. However, there are many more people who choose to consume animal products. So, while ever the farming of animals for food and fibre continues, we seek to ensure that the conditions under which those animals live meet their physical and behavioural needs.

FNQ Bush Dogs & Pups
I encourage all of Cairns Facebook Animal lovers to get behind this wonderful woman & all of the work she does for the bush dogs and pups in Yarrabah. Lyn does not ask for donations of cash. Instead she asks for donations to her account at the butcher, donations to her account at the vet or even worming tablets in bulk. Please view the pinned post on her page.

I've been laid up after a small procedure and haven't been able to get out bush ...I couldn't settle as I knew there were 2 litters that were overdue for worming..so I asked a good friend Shawna if she would mind giving me a lift and hand out there with the pups...no problemo she said....and aren't I glad I listened to my gut...the 1st litter were locked up with their mum in a cage ..my god no water or food we wormed all 6 pups gave mum food and water ....mmm..then we went onto the next litter ...2 had passed away...poor mum dog is in a terrible state I wormed her gave her some milk formula and meat ..and left a bag of quality buiscuts to help her...then we saw these to skinny skeleton pups with huge worm bellys ..the owner let us take them as it was obvious they weren't going to make it much longer without a lot of help..they didn't have a chance of getting their mums milk against the other 9....so we wormed that litter as well...filled some buckets with water which they all raced for it was hot out there today...please keep the tiny girls in mind they have a battle ahead...

I did post on RSPCA QLD page but have been blocked from their page and my post deleted
I am not, and never have suggested that all dog animals in this community are cruel not neglectful. There are some responsible owners there. I just want something to be done about the cruelty cases, the neglect and the need to desex pets
This is not a new issue. ABC reported on this over 12 months ago. Sadly nothing seems to have changed

Please if this upsets you as much as it does me take a minute or two to do something about it
Thanks

Exciting news!

The Agile Wallaby Project Incorporated has been accepted as a Rehabilitation Group! This means we have our own permit to raise, rehabilitate and release injured/orphaned wildlife.

We will continue to hold Wildlife Training Sessions throughout the years, in hope to create a community of Rescuers and Carers in the Northern Beaches of Cairns.

Agile Wallabies will be our primary focus, but as we grow, we hope to train people to look after other native species, such as flying foxes and birds.

To celebrate, we've reduced our 2019 Wildlife Calendars to JUST $5! All proceeds help purchase supplies to raise orphaned Joey's like baby Charlotte here. Click on the link below to place your order:

FYI. Maybe if you feel strongly about this, you may wish to email Gumtree and request they implement these
