One of my favourite things about grooming is how every single dog has their own little personality during the process 🐶✨

Some are shy and gently try to lean away like “umm I’m not sure about this” 🫣
Some fully relax and fall asleep mid-groom like they’ve booked themselves a spa retreat 😴💆‍♀️
Some are full-on playful, trying to turn the whole thing into a game 🎾😂
Some just want constant hugs and kisses like “don’t stop, I love this attention” 💕
And then there are the watchers… the ones who stare at you the entire time like you’re performing brain surgery 😐👀 “okay… what’s next… and now what… and now this part?” even though they’ve done this every 6 weeks like clockwork haha

They honestly just love the attention, every single one of them in their own way 🐾💛
No two grooms are ever the same and that’s what makes it so special.

It’s the weekend after a long, busy week… and as you can see, my dog is absolutely thrilled to be spending quality time with me 😴🐶

Just kidding this girl is as exhausted as I am. We’re both fully in recovery mode, recharging after a hectic week of work and life. 💛

Honestly though, must be tough being that beautiful all day, getting all the attention in the house, and carrying around that level of cuteness 24/7 😂✨

Dog grooming is so much more than just a wash and a trim it’s a real skill that changes with every coat type, texture, and breed you work with. ✂️🐾

From silky straight coats to thick double coats, curly coats that need extra care, and everything in between, each pup brings their own needs to the table. Different breeds require different techniques, tools, and timing to make sure they not only look their best but feel comfortable and healthy too.

This little character today had me laughing… you’d think he came in asking for highlights, a mohawk perm on the ears, and a perfectly sculpted beard 😂✨

But no, that’s all natural! Just rocking what his mumma gave him, and honestly it suits him perfectly.

I absolutely love the unique looks every dog has. It’s those little quirks and natural styles that give them so much personality and make every groom completely one of a kind 💛🐶

Those happy faces are honestly the best part of the job. How can you not fall in love with a face like that? So full of joy, trust, and pure excitement for their spa day. 💛

Even though this job can be a bit back-breaking at times, it’s definitely easy on the eyes when you’re surrounded by this much cuteness all day long. Worth every second for moments like these. 🛁🐾

I absolutely adore my grooming trailer she’s big, fabulous, and such a dream to work in! ✨🐾

Last week, my trusty bath needed a little trip to the doctor because she wasn’t feeling her best. Thankfully, it was a quick and easy fix, and now we’re back in business and ready to take on a busy day! 💦🛁

How far in advance should I book?

I can get booked out quite quickly, so if you can, the best way to secure your spot is to rebook at the end of each appointment 🐶💕

Depending on the time of year, I can be booked anywhere from a few weeks to months in advance. To make things easier (and to make sure your pup never misses their pamper day), I highly recommend getting onto a regular rotating schedule. This way, your appointments are locked in and you don’t have to stress about missing out on a spot ✨🛁

I would absolutely love to groom every single gorgeous pup, but I am just one person doing my very best to fit everyone in with lots of love and care. Being on a rotating roster helps so much with keeping your pup looking and feeling their best all year round, and keeps everything smooth and stress-free for you too 💖🐾

Think of it like your pup’s little spa subscription same lovely groomer, same happy routine, and always fresh, fluffy, and fabulous! 🐶💕

What happens if it rains on my appointment day?

Rain or shine, I’ll still be there and ready to pamper your pup 🐶💖 My grooming trailer is fully air-conditioned and weather-proof, so a bit of rain doesn’t affect the grooming at all we can still go ahead with all appointments as normal.

Your pup might get a few little raindrops on the way from the trailer to the house, but that’s about it! 🛁✨ After their groom, they’ll be fresh, clean, and smelling absolutely fabulous just like any other spa day.

The only time rain becomes an issue is if there’s flooding or unsafe access at your property. If anything like that happens, just let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule safely. Otherwise, we’re all good to go in my cosy trailer, happy pup, and spa day vibes no matter the weather! 🌧️🐾💕

Do I need to be home?

For your very first appointment, yes I’ll need you to be home 🐶💕

This is really important because it allows me to meet you and your beautiful pup in a calm, familiar environment. It helps your dog feel safe with me before their spa day, and gives us a chance to build trust from the very beginning. I’ll also be able to be properly introduced to your dog so they feel comfortable when I come to collect them for grooming. 🛁✨

It’s also a great opportunity for you to show me where the water tap and power outlet are at your home, so I can safely and correctly set everything up for future visits. Safety is always my top priority for both your pup and myself and that first meeting helps make sure everything runs smoothly and stress-free. 💖

Once your dog knows me and feels at ease, future appointments are much more relaxed, and I can usually collect them for their pamper session with no issues at all. 🐾💕

What happens if my dog is matted?

I’ll always do my best to gently work through small knots and light matting where it’s safe and comfortable for your pup. However, your dog’s comfort and wellbeing will always come first. 🐶💕

If matting is severe, tight to the skin, or in sensitive areas, brushing it out can be very painful and stressful for your fur baby. If your pup is showing signs of discomfort, anxiety, or stress during the process, I may need to recommend a shorter style to safely remove the matting and make them feel comfortable again. ✂️✨

Matts can pull on the skin, trap moisture, and even cause sores underneath, so sometimes shaving shorter is the kindest and safest option even if it’s not the look you originally wanted. Their happiness and comfort always come before the haircut style.

To help keep your pup fluffy, comfortable, and able to maintain longer coat styles, regular brushing at home is super important, especially for curly, long-haired, or double-coated breeds. A little brushing often goes a long way in preventing painful matts and keeping grooming a happy experience for everyone. 💖

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Every pup is different, so grooming times can vary depending on their breed, size, coat type, temperament, and how they feel about the grooming process. Some dogs are quick and easy, while others may need a little extra time, patience, cuddles, and reassurance along the way. 🐶✨

My goal isn’t to be the quickest groomer it’s to make sure your fur baby feels as relaxed, safe, and comfortable as possible during their pamper session. I’m not a rushed “in and out” service. I like to move at your pup’s pace, giving them plenty of breaks, love, and gentle care so grooming stays a positive experience for them. 💕

A calm and happy pup always comes first, and I’d much rather take a little extra time to make their spa day enjoyable and stress-free. 🛁🐾
