Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) is a condition that many horses and especially ponies in the southern highlands are diagnosed with. Our Vets work closely with a number of owners in our local area to provide advice and management plans for EMS and associated conditions such as laminitis.

A hematoma is a pocket filled with blood, usually caused by trauma to the area. Most will reabsorb on their own, however occasionally large ones such as this are lanced by a vet under standing sedation to drain.
