Scratching is a natural cat behaviour and serves many purposes.

Providing multiple items for scratching - vertical, horizontal and angled (depending on the cat's preferences) is essential.

They should also be sturdy and of a texture your cat prefers.

Taking the time to work out what your cat prefers will save your furniture, carpets and soft furnishings!

This is Scooby. He is 13 years old. His owner got a new puppy. Scooby doesn't understand what he did wrong that caused his Dad not to love him any more. He needs a home environment, not the shelter. He's been a solo pet all his life and this just isn't fair on him. Please, if you can offer Scooby a loving, permanent home, where he will be indoors and cherished message the page.
